Will Brady change his ways of spreading the ball around this year?

I can definitely see Moss having 8-10 catches one week, then Stallworth having 8-10 the next because the defense overcommits to Moss. They flip back and forth all season. If they are both double covered all game just hand it off to Maroney who then gets like 200 yards running up the middle...

SI:Don Banks-Patriots will be driven to handle unfinished business

From what I've read the only major difference between this off-season and previous ones is that the Pats' targets actually accepted their offers. We went hard after Drew Bennett and Joe Jurivicious in past years. We thought we could wrap it up with Deion for a big extension. If those or any one...

Standing Room Only at Gillette? Advice please.

I'm looking into buying tickets for the Pats-Jets game in September, but I've never been to a Pats game live before so I was looking for some advice. What is the deal with standing room only tickets? Where is the area where you stand? Can you see the field? Is it very crowded? Do you get stuck...

    Overheard on Draft weekend....

Bridge Troll Guy: What is your name? Brady: Tom Brady. BTG: What is your quest? Brady: To win a super bowl. BTG: Who is your favorite reciever? Brady: Moss. No, Stallworth. No....AAAAEEEEIIIIII!

    Moss, Welker, or Stallworth?

Wow...who do we think the unnamed former Pats player is? He seemed pretty disenchanted with the Patriots and their image. Was it someone who came in and got cut quickly who someone who was on the team for a while and was a cap casualty? My guess is Vinatieri, but I wouldn't put money on it.

    Complete Patriots 2007 schedule

"4) We play SD in the second week, before our new studs will have settled in. Minus." I'd take the opposite approach to it. In week 2 SD's coaches won't even know who is who on their team. They have harder-to-acclimate-to new pieces to deal with than we do.

    Complete Patriots 2007 schedule

This is a great schedule for the Pats. I love having the bye in week 11 so they can rest up a little for the down-the-stretch push. With the Chargers, Colts, and Ravens games all very spaced out we don't have anything that looks like a real rough patch in the schedule, just some tough games...

IF we get a 2nd for Gay- This helps

Giving up Gay for a 2nd rounder would essentially be trading Gay for Welker AND moving up a few spots in the draft. How anyone can think this wouldn't be a steal of a move is beyond me. If someone is worried about CB depth, we could probably get someone equal to or better than Gay with that...

What is Carriker's value on the team?

Ok, but I guess if he's a real DE and not a tweener the problem is even worse. As has been mentioned, he'd be playing behind even more depth than an OLB rookie would. I get the argument that if we can't lock up Warren he fits right in for years to come, but we've got Warren right now. And next...

What is Carriker's value on the team?

So I've been reading this board a lot recently for it's always-interesting insight into draft possibilities, and I'm puzzled by the obsession with drafting Carriker. Doesn't he project as an OLB or DE? Aren't those two positions we have totally locked up at this point? Why are people so excited...

Good Pats sports bars in DC?

Hey all, Long time listener, infrequent poster. I just moved to DC and am looking for a good bar to watch the Pats this season. Does anyone have any suggestions in the northwest? I appreciate the help.

So in the end, no linebackers

just to play devil's advocate, maybe the no linebackers thing is more a product of how to draft played out than any affirmation of Beisel et al. Gocong and Schlegal both went in the 3rd round before we picked, so was Hodge. I think that the people on our board who would have made good ILBers...

Will the Pats pick a TE on the 1st day?

The braintrust will shock everyone by drafting yet another high-round tight end this year. Though no one is predicting it, with only Watson and Graham on the roster as viable options, it makes sense. Plus, Belicheck loves drafting TEs almost as much as he loves drafting defensive linemen. I...

    FA DBs: who's available?

It seems to me that the three areas of concern for this offseason are LB, DB, and the running game. Of those three, I'd most want to have veteran help at DB, as opposed to newly drafted rookies. Does anyone have a good list of who's available on the FA market this year at corner and safety...
