The simple story behind the entire "deflategate" controversy

You would think after all the long months that Goodell would get this over and done with. Anyone with half an ounce of sense knows it was a set-up. So why take weeks for a decision? Both the N.F.L. and Goodell have been made a laughing stock by the whole incident, and as far as i can see the...

    The Verdict

I think you are spot on, but if he does clear Tom then what of the fine the team got?? Toms counsel would have had to refute everything in the Wells report, to prove that Tom had no knowledge of ball tampering. If Tom's legal team has done this well and his suspension is dropped then does it not...

Isn't Goodell facing a conflict of interest?

Lets face it guys the whole thing from start to whenever it finishes has been a farce. The Wells report has been shown to be not worth the million or so pages it was written on. Goodell has made both himself and the N.F.L. a laughing stock and i'm afraid the only one who can't see that is the...

Isn't Goodell facing a conflict of interest?

Although i agree with you i think you have forgotten one important factor here... Goodell believes himself to be god...................and even if he contradicts himself he will give some sort of feeble excuse and do what he wants anyway. He is a legend in his own mind......................

Roger Goodell confirmed why Tom Brady was right to not share texts

In my opinion the N.F.L. have become to powerful. They can do what they like when they like and there is no-one to stop them. They have long forgotten the fact that without the teams they are nothing. The teams thrive for only one reason:- the FANS. They get millions of dollars from merchandise...

Brady and the NFLPA are taking off the gloves....

Just a question for you guys in the Boston area. Not being able to justify the cost of getting the games live every season i invested in an internet radio so at least i can listen to them. This morning i tuned in again to the sports hub. Now this station says its the voice of sport in the Boston...

Brady and the NFLPA are taking off the gloves....

How long can Goodell continue in his role as commissioner? He has gone to far in his vendetta against the Patriots. I hope against hope that the Patriots and T.B. win their appeal and show what a farce the whole deflate-gate thing has been. Surely then he will have no option but to resign.......

    Brady's appeal on the suspension

I dont understand how Goodell can make himself arbitor. How can the commissioner of the N.F.L. make a decision on a punishment given out by the N.F.L.?? What a farce! This really is making the N.F.L. a laughing stock. How much longer are the rest of the guys in charge going to allow Goodell to...

    Brady's appeal on the suspension

The only problem i can see for you guys in the U.S. is that if thr N.F.L. gets a kicking from this( which they should) Goodell has to resign. He is a power mad everything needs to be done my way kinda guy which means he will most likely run for president.........Can you imagine that??!!

Standing by your team is one thing but get a grip!

listen guys, weve had spygate and now deflategate but the only thing this is all about is (in Tom Brady Sr's words) Framegate. The Patriots are to successful and Tom Brady to good to be allowed to carry on so they have to be discredited in any way possible. I hope to god the guys win this years...

    Brady's appeal on the suspension

Goodell cant possibly let it go to a civil court surely........ Not enough evidence to prove there was deflation of the balls and evidence that proved that there was not any tampering going on i.e. gas laws thrown out or altered. If it did go to a civil court it would most likely be laughed out...

    Brady's appeal on the suspension

I think Goodall has set a massive precedent here. As i've said before in another post every team in the N.F.L. sits on a knife edge with regards to pushing the rule book, now they have fined the Pats they can no longer get away with warning or minor rule changes to allow the rest to get away...

The Wells Report violates Gas Laws and, therefore, is rejected.

Does nobody get it yet? Although i have read and (pretty much) understood the gas laws it makes not one shred of difference. Even if the Pats took Tom.Kordis with them to the N.F.L. tomorrow and they accepted his findings and even dropped the whole deflategate affair they would wait until...

And the verdict is ... "Guilty".!!

Is the Wells report supposed to be an independent report? A report paid for by the N.F.L.? Investigated and compiled by the N.F.L.s much used firm of lawyers? Evidence and statements incomplete, missing or edited to suit. Is it me or does it smell like a week dead rat????? Just one more...
