WTF is this stuff........ wow
"Players, including several still on the roster, disclose just how difficult it was playing for Belichick. “It was brutal,” Matthew Slater said. Rob Gronkowski described pulling up to 1 Patriot Place and not wanting to get out of his car to go into work. Wes Welker...
So what? I am real. The question is not whether it made playoffs or not made playoffs or etc.
The question is do we have a better team with Brady and without McCourty, if we could only afford one of them. In my mind the answer is ABSOLUTELY yes. Maybe you disagree. And I think the front office...
Shannon Sharpe finally changes his tune of the last 15 years and does an about-face and says it was Brady all along who carried BB. I think this will increasingly happen. BB's legacy definitely is tarnished.
This thread isn't about who is better or more important between them. The question is whether BB made the right decision letting Brady go to prove he can win without him. And it's obvious that was a horrible decision.
We know how cap works. Give me a break. They could have let Devin McCourty go instead of re-signing him and sign Brady instead. 2 years for $50m was nothing for a Top 5 QB for those 2 seasons. It was a monumentally stupid decision.
Yeah. I mean this was an interesting question right after the decision happened, but what's there to discuss now. Bill settled it himself by proving that Brady was WAAAAAAY more important and potent than BB. Brady smashed it without BB. BB crashed and burnt without Tom.
Coach yes. But his status has greatest GM was always dicey. And his decision to push Brady out has shown him in bad light. Despite all the wins, it's a stretch to say he's the greatest GM of all time. He's a GM who got lucky with Brady, and was smart enough to retain him most of Brady's career...
There was no "win-win" for player and team, unless you mean Brady and the Bucs. There was no "win" for the Pats. We didn't get some draft capital for letting Brady go. We basically sucked for 4 years. There's hardly any doubt that if we kept Brady we'd have more wins, and made the playoffs more...
There was NO reason to push Brady out. It was stupid. It was ridiculous. They could have made room for him. 2 years at $50m was nothing, which is what Brady asked. It was a horrendously bad decision.
Mahomes' extremely long term contract was all back-loaded. They peaked already with lots of cap space in the early years. Now the cap space starts biting hard. He went from $7m against the cap space in 2021 to $37m this year to $57m next year and $60m+ in 2025. As he swallows all the cap space...
Brock Purdy has the highest YPA in league history at 9.9 with atleast 3,000 passing yards. So he might not be THAT bad.
