I have not seen the episode, so my guesses as to who said this are as follows:
A. Boston media member (Volin, Felger, etc)
B. Yelling shows panelist (Bayless, Nick Wright, etc)
C. Patsfans poster
D. Seahawks player
The crazy thing is, in the two games mentioned, the Jets beat the Eagles and lost a very close game to the Chiefs. It's not like they were blown out in both games. The only explanation is that the Jets are so terrible by nature, the Eagles and Chiefs knowing their game plan actually hurt those...
Just think, in the early 90s, Jets fans could argue “Hey, we went to a SB and won while the Patriots went to the SB and got blown out.” Fast forward 30 years and the Patriots are tied with the most SB championships ever while the Jets don’t even have another appearance, let alone another title.
There's another aspect of Peter King not getting it that stood out to me: King says it bothers him that he got the story wrong, but he was simply repeating what trusted sources told him. He didn't interview any Colts or Patriots personnel that evening. He didn't test the PSI in any footballs...
I saw this elsewhere, but I’m not too proud to steal it:
The Jets have not had a QB throw double digit TDs since the 2019 season. Consider how long the passing game has been emphasized in the league and how the catch rules have been tweaked over the years and the Jets have gone 4 straight...
The “what if” for the 2006 AFCCG is what if Rodney Harrison isn’t injured via a cheap shot against the Titans and plays against the Colts. Indianapolis wouldn’t have been able to pick on Alexander in that case.
Of course, you could also go with what if the refs remember that face guarding isn’t...
An average coach would have convinced Brady to come out for the 1998 draft, drafted him in the first or second round and started him as a rookie. It was the obvious move to anyone following football at the time. SB36 should have been a 4peat. Instead we got stuck with a lousy 20 years.
You’re right. I messed up and looked at Rodney’s combined tackles in SD versus just Willis’ solo tackles. In combined tackles, Willis wins by a lot, 950 to 760. Of course, Harrison had another 6 years worth of tackles in NE to go with his production in SD.
Like I said, Willis was great. Rodney...
Patrick Willis was a great player and congratulations to him for getting in the HOF. He definitely deserved consideration. He only played 8 years, though. If you only count Rodney's time with the Chargers (9 years), Harrison had more tackles and sacks than Willis did for his career.
Harrison...
PFT has an article up that it’s been leaked that Steve McMichael, Devin Hester, and Julius Peppers have been elected to the HOF. The official announcement comes out later tonight.
According to this article, the short answer is No:

I didn’t look further than that article and my memory of the events is a little hazy, but I believe there were claims that law enforcement...
Dalvin Cook and the Jets have agreed to part ways, in theory, to allow Cook to sign with a playoff contender.
On the positive side, Cook is only 28, was an 1100 yard rusher last year, and does not have a lot of wear and tear this season. A concern for potential suitors is that it took Cook...
I do not doubt that Kelce is feeling beat up. He’s played a lot of football over the past decade.
What’s weird, though, is that it doesn’t seem like he’s been the target of cheap shots like Gronk was. No safety is diving at Kelce’s knees when he’s focused on catching a pass or deliberately...
