That Was A Disgusting Display By The Refs 10/14 Det vs GB

It shouldn't be on the coach to ensure accuracy from the officials. That's the league's job.

You can't have 100 percent accuracy rate by the refs. It's impossible. why have coaches challenges then? The best solution is to be able to challenge everything. And in egregious situations, a sky ref can tell the referee to pick up the flag. Why is this so difficult for the league?

The NFL is a multibillion dollar sport one might reasonable assume you should have full time ref's who can fairly call a game.. Roger likes the part timers who continually screw up the game...

The answer has been to add technology to the decision making, all the while they ignore the obvious answer... professionalize the profession.

Probably a when not an if in regards to it costing us a game at some point. NFL has a serious officiating problem.

You wanna see hands to the face? Go back to the SB we lost to the Giants with the winning TD to P Buress.
The Olineman took a hold of Seymour’s facemack and jerked it skyward. No call.
Used to be photos of it on giantscheated.com when that site worked.
Lions fans will be bitter about this for a long time.
The worst was the noncall of PI vs. the Packers when the defender grabbed the upper body before the ball arrived.

1. This is true.
2. The Lions would have lost that game no matter what with 100% certainty. They are the biggest choking franchise in the league, and Lambeau is their favorite place to gag.
da Bears says hi

Yes, the Packers are my ‘nfc team’ and ultimately I’m happy they won the game as a fan, but not in this fashion.

What we witnessed last night was disgusting. Many man hours of preparation put into it from both teams only to have the outcome greatly influenced by the refs.

For those that missed last nigh’s game let’s review.

Play 1: it’s mid 4th qtr packers down 9 points. They face 3rd and long from just past mid field. I’m thinking they go for it if they don’t get it though since they are on the lion’s side of the field and they are running of clock.....but then the lions sack Rodgers. Oh man, no way they can go for it now. They have to punt on what would be 4th and at least 18 from their own side of the field. But wait....official throws a flag (a rather late flag too if you ask me). Call is a ‘hands to the face’ against trey flowers. He wasn’t involved in the play and worse yet.....he never put his hands on his face. Disgusting. 5 yds automatic first down. That penalty was the equivalent of a game changing turnover. Pack score a couple plays later.

Play 2: just under two minutes left. Third down incompletion by packers inside the 20. Packers still setup well for go-ahead field goal, but there would still be a minute and a half for lions to come back......but oh wait....another flag, another hands to the face penalty against flowers when in fact he never touched the guy’s face. Now the pack can work the clock down before kicking the game winner.

Even as a packers fan I was disgusted by what I saw last night. The game was essentially given to them. No one wants that.

Sorry, just saw other thread.....please merge

Bad calls happen every game. Non calls happen every game.

The Chiefs were called for hitting Brady in the head last AFCC and it never happened.

You cant tell me that no calls went the Lions way.

I usually poo poo the ref complaints, especially since most of the time it’s an excuse for losing to us (not saying we haven’t been the beneficiary of refs before, though we’ve also been on the bad side)......but last night the 3 straight calls down the stretch against the lions were just awful. The lions were totally screwed from a win, which they were on track to earn. Disgusting reffing.

These were 3 huge calls during huge make or break plays. The first 2 calls (or the non PI call in the latter case) literally altered the outcome from an almost certain win to a loss for Detroit. And they’re erent even close. They were obvious calls that were flubbed.

The biggest (and worst) calls in the biggest moments went to GB. In a game decided by such a razor thin margin, those calls were clearly the difference between a W and an L.

This is the only correct take.

Game might have been rigged.

2 ******** calls on Flowers when the Packers LT had his hand in the facemask of Flowers
Lazard was down the at the 1 and it was not a TD
Non PI call on the Packers when the Lions were driving

I said it a million times when the replacement refs were in; there is no difference between these so called NFL refs and a guy on the street. They are terrible and I am sure they are doing some of these things intentionally.

The Seahawks were given gifts by the refs against the Browns too.

Lions got it bad. No lube style.

Also the refs missed a blatant too many men on the field against Green Bay when they had 13 guys out there...it might be the league trying to help the Packers/Aaron Rodgers win something since they haven't done it in a while.
