Thanks to all for the great sign ideas. :rocker:

If you didn't catch my earlier post, I am heading to this Monday's blowout of the Bungles. I asked members for some sign ideas that might get us on MNF. Had some great responses.

I picked five of the best (IMHO) and added a sixth that I just thought of tonight. Okay, so it wasn't from the original thread so, technically, I guess it shouldn't be in the vote, but since I'm the one posting and making the sign....too bad! :p

Anyway, I created some mini signs, and figured I'd put it to a vote. I'm going to make the sign on Sunday, so you have until then to vote.

Thanks again to all who submitted ideas!!

Actually, that was going to be #6. I even created a mini sign for it!

Then I thought that since the whole point was to get it shown on TV, the employees at ESPN would have realize it was funny, meaning they would need to:

1. be at least 30 years old (okay)

2. have heard the song (still okay)

3. be intelligent enough to see the humor (enough said)

Also, I really felt like we needed an entry that supported BB for his first game at what's likely to be an extremely hostile venue.

I guess you could always mount a "write in" ballot with posts. :D

#1 is clearly superior in every concievable way.....and not because it's the one I thought of either. :D

I really like #3, but #1 is probably more likely to get you on camera.

When you really think about it, Brady and Moss is NOT cheating, in any way, shape or form. It's a smart personnel move and great players, so to suggest we're "cheating" by putting them together (I know it's a joke, but still ... ) is not the message you want to convey. I'd stay away from No. 2 and the cheating theme. Go instead with No. 1 or No. 3. No. 1 might get you in trouble with Bengals fans, No. 3 is a true statement that also contrasts Moss with Johnson's self-promoting. I say go with No. 3.

The best chance to get on tv is #1 with the second best shot is #MNF one, I forget which number as I type this.

Also, could you add patsFans.com somewhere.

Funny you say that, 'cause I originally planned to put patsfans.com a the bottom. Then my brother pointed out that ESPN might consider it advertising and not show it on air for that reason. (God forbid they don't get paid for it!!)

Anyway, at that point I decided it would only be fair to at least put the creator's username at the bottom of whichever sign wins. I promised I would give due credit in the original thread, so I've got to stick to that. Of course, now that I think about it, I've completely forgotten who thought of what....'cept for NovaScotia, who so obvioulsy reminded me here.

Hope that original thread is still there!!

Every one will have lame E S P N signs but #2 will defintely make it on TV

#3. It's easy to read (very important) so a cameraman or producer will see it and make a mental note of it. When Moss scores (and you know he will), they'll cut to that sign.

Regards,
Chris

Realistically, I voted for one. They always show signs with their call letters and that was better than anything i could come up with and I tried.

Thanks to all for the sign ideas. Unless there's an inlux of votes tonight, it looks like #2 is the winner, with #3 in second.

Had a lot of feedback for #3, so here's what I'm going to do....make a duel sign (front/back) with #2 on one side and #3 on the other.

Hope that satisfies all.

Thanks again to all members who submitted/voted!!!

GO PATS!!
