Anyone been tuning into EEI's Salk and Holley instead of Felger and Mazz?

They paid Holley the market rate for a drive time day part. Unfortunately, you cannot pay a radio host drive time pay and put him on the mid-day slot. The md-day slot is the least listened to slot of the day other than nights and mid-day hosts get paid significantly less.

Let me thank the posters here for saving me the punishment of tuning to WEEI and trying out the new clown. Too bad for Holley but if EEI keeps imploding we'll hear him elsewhere soon.

Did anyone catch Pete Sheppard at 6:15 saturday night, I guess he quit on air blaming the station bosses above for screwing with the station?

I wish I had audio of it. Pete is many things but he is a passionate Fan of Boston Sports///

I guess he hinted about moving to the HUB in his final goodbye...

Those of us outside of metro Boston only have one "choice", as EEI seems to have contracts with stations outside of Boston and 98.5 doesn't. Never really heard the "competition" except for occasional trips into Boston. Out here in the hinterlands that means one is switching between EEI and ESPN (or sometimes the crap on Fox Sports Radio). I'd have to say, if Holley was paired with someone his equal I'd be a dedicated listener, but Salk doesn't cut it.
Sirius/XM is sounding more appealing every day.
