Jackie Mac's article on Branch and his twin sons' ordeal - Great, but sad, story.

No one captures this type of story better than Jackie. I never realized the family issues Deion had.

Wow.

Regarding Branch and his drive to get to the NFL, I seem to recall a number of national post-draft pundits questioning how high Branch was taken. Maybe BB saw a little Troy Brown in the drive.

Wow. Here I was nervous, anxious and scared regarding tonights game. This really puts things in perspective. What incredible faith Deion has. All I can say is, "wow."

So sad, happily he remains involved with his children and supports his ex, you wish they could do more together. In the off-season I know he was at one meningitis fund raiser in Indianapolis.

Thanks for posting this Patsri.

After having a child with Down syndrome, I can fully appreciate how having a child with a disability really puts life into perspective for you. Things you take forgranted with your "typical" kids (like sitting up, crawling, standing, walking, talking) mean so much more.

It's too bad they aren't together anymore but it sounds like DB really is doing whatever he can to be involved.

I also feel for Deion, having had a simular situation with my son! Happily, the doctor's were not exactly accurate with their prognosis, and with alot of early intervention, he's a well adjusted, funny and caring 16yr old. We'll hope for the same for Deion!
I remember a small piece mentioning this event/situation a couple of years ago,(I think it was before Deion's first SB) more of a throw away line, nothing in depth like Jackie's done here. She handled it well. Much as I've complained about the Globe's Patriot coverage, I've got to credit them this morning. They've done a great job, unlike the Herald's single page (Felger) coverage today!
