It's about more than just a kicker being a football player but Kluwe puts a player who says kickers aren't real football player in his place.
"I freely admit I'm not a receiver, or a lineman, or a DB, or a quarterback...
I want full exoneration, nothing less. I would prefer Brady take 4 game suspension where he maintains his innocence over a compromise. Accepting a compromise is a defacto admission of guilt to the haters and his legacy is still tarnished. It's obvious this is a set up and the NFL has...
Kraft, Snyder (hammered w/ $36m in salary cap sanctions), and Benson (Bountygate) are the 3 I see saying soething like this. Maybe Jones as he got hit with a big salary cap penalty too, but unlikely based on recent comments.
Edit: forgot who owned the Saints, d'oh.
How about something completely outside the box? When Dallas and Washington dumped salary they got hit with salary cap restrictions. What about if a team tampers and doesn't sign the player draft pick swaps and forfeiture, if they sign the player swap, forfeiture and the player counts as double...
If Revis does leave in FA and goes to the Jets and the Jets don't get hit with penalties for tampering I guess we will know the commissioner's/NFL office's dislike for the Pats is real and not a conspiracy theory after the circus they created over the PSI of a couple of footballs.
A lesser priority for me is Ayers. Though his playing time diminished after Jones came back, he was a great pick up and gives the Pats insurance at both the DE and LB position. If the Pats draft a LB early he may be gone because he may get more as a FA than the Pats will pay for the added depth.
Odds are anyone buying the Bills is buying them to move them to Los Angeles or a yet unnamed larger market. I can't think of a unrepresented large market outside of L.A., but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.
The only thing that could stop this is if the NFL wants to keep L.A. open as a...
Miguel, can you please educate those of us not well versed in the CBA or the cap the future affects of "The Prisoners" contract? How will his contract affect the Pats going forward in terms of cap space and dead money, assuming the worst case scenario that the Pats can't nullify the contract...
