Re: Shefter reports Bob Sanders may be done for the season (merged)
I know what you're saying, but isn't it an oxymoron if he can't stay on the field, he can't be a great player.
Is a great player only great because he's great for 1/4 of all the games played during a career? Or is it...
Re: Schefter: Patriots trade Maroney to Denver for 2011 4th - Broncos get 2011 6 [mer
Well, Halle-frickin'-lulah!! Sorry Maroney, but you were one of the biggest busts of the Belichick era. I heard the Pats are getting a 4th round pick for him, so that's pretty decent considering how useless...
LOL! Same goes for the "Dip Of Unidentifable Ingredients", the "Turkey Chili Because Beef Isn't Healthy" (FU - beef is healthy, especially in large quantities!), the Buffalo Wings of Incredible Sogginess, and "The Communal Bowl of Festering Disease Snack Mix".
As you can see, there's just a...
All of those guys, and more, are exactly why I prefer to watch with just my wife and my two kids. The kids are young, so they lose interest after the first 10 minutes and then they go play video games or something till bedtime. I get to watch in peace, with my favorite spot on the couch all to...
He is gutless. Jack Youngblood played the entire 1979-1980 playoffs, including Super Bowl XIV, with a fractured left fibula. A BROKEN LEG.
Phillip Rivers played yesterday with a partially torn ACL in his right knee and an injured left knee. Gates played with a dislocated toe. Drew Bledsoe...
Re: Charger center Harwick calls out Richard Seymour.....
This is baloney. Hardwick needs to shut his mouth. Players have been doing things like that forever - it's part of the game. If Hardwick thinks Seymour is bad, he never would have been able to face guys like Nitschke, Butkus...
Now that the game is over and a night has passed giving me time to relax and get perspective I can comment on some of the things in the game.
Phillip Rivers is a warrior. I gained a ton of respect for him watching him play on a bad leg. The same goes for Gates - playing with a dislocated big...
Tomlinson's problem is that he just needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. He can think the Patriots are classless for mocking Merriman's sack dance, but to verbalize that is just dumb.
He never should have said the Chargers would beat the Patriots 9 out of 10 times. That's just stupid to say...
No offense, but I didn't hear this at all. Where did they go on "vacation"; a few days off at home, or a foreign country? You say one form or another, but what exactly did they do? You could technically say that all the players during the bye week had a vacation, as they didn't have a game.
This is what happens when a team has a head coach like Wade Phillips, who allows his starting QB to take a vacation during a playoff week. Take all the vacations you want in February, not during a playoff period. Bad coaching for an overrated team.
Romo is a flash in the pan - we won't see him...
For me, the kick by AV in the snow was the greatest play in Patriots history.
That kick was THE defining moment when victory seemed not only possible, but likely. That kick was the catalyst that propelled the Patriots to their first SB win, and to the point they're at now.
Not only was...
I thought he was fairly balanced. When the Giants were pounding the Pats, he was predictably gushing over them. When the Patriots were coming back in the 4th, he was openly commenting on how impressed he was.
It was the best game of the year by far, and both teams had their moments...
I love a good debate with fans of other teams - many of those guys are great guys, they just happen to root for the wrong teams ;)
The thing I can't tolerate is the infantile name calling, race baiting, etc., that has become such a plague in the NG.
