Where does Penix go if Pats trade back?

I don't know much about Gibson, so I'll have to take your word for it. It's been awhile since the Pats threw to guys out of the backfield on a regular basis. I like Tee Higgins and Aiyuk, and they would be an upgrade over anything the Pats have, but I don't know if I would call them true #1...

Where does Penix go if Pats trade back?

Haha, we seem to agree on a lot of things, but not that. I'm hoping they try to build the team from the outside in. Put together the talent on offense and then find the right guy to run it. Either way, this is going to be quite a ride tonight.

Where does Penix go if Pats trade back?

I hope you are right. There are alot of things going against the Pats right now for potential FAs. Crappy weather, an outdoor stadium with dated facilities, high taxes, bad owner reputation, and a team that is not close to contention.

Where does Penix go if Pats trade back?

While I agree with the premise, I find it hard to imagine any true #1 will sign here as a FA right now. They're going to have to hope they hit on that in the draft.

Which begs the question of if they actually should draft a guy to sit right now or continue to wait. I personally only want them to draft a QB at #3 if he is unquestionably their first choice. Otherwise take the best offensive player available.

Where does Penix go if Pats trade back?

In a vacuum I would rather have Herbert than the unknown. In the real world he is due 30 million dollars this season, and the contract continues to get more expensive. Herbert has always had great weapons around him, but last season when those weapons started to dwindle due to injury or...

BOTTOM LINE - Entering NFL Employees Have No Choice

I'm sure you've heard this before, but I feel dumber from having interaction with you. Every football player has a choice for whom they want to peddle their wares. Like most jobs if you want to make the most money, you have to often sacrifice other things. 4 times I have explained this now...

BOTTOM LINE - Entering NFL Employees Have No Choice

No one is trying to "flex." Reading comprehension is clearly an issue for you. I had a choice to work for different employers and make more or less money. Football players have a choice to work for different leagues and make more or less money. Nowhere in either of my posts did I suggest...

BOTTOM LINE - Entering NFL Employees Have No Choice

My point is if you want to make the money you choose the NFL and possibly go where you don't want to go (as I would have had to go to Saudi Arabia if I wanted to make the big $). Alternatively they are welcome to choose a different league and make less money but exercise their freedom of choice...

    OT: Jack Edwards retiring.

I know his style is polarizing, but I have an appreciation for Jack after meeting him in person through his wife at the gym I used to train in a few years ago. I didn't make a big deal out of it but told him that my then 13 year old son tuned in regularly to Bruins games because he found Jack...

BOTTOM LINE - Entering NFL Employees Have No Choice

They can go play for the Canadian Football League, the United Football League, and many others. My current job is in Connecticut. If I decide to take my talents to Saudi Arabia, I can earn 5x what I earn now, but I have to go somewhere I don't want to work. If you want to earn the big money...

Tom Brady ‘wouldn't be opposed' to NFL return, mentions Patriots -- DON'T NEED A QB ANYMORE!

Interesting debate about Walsh vs BB for greatest GM. My .02 as someone who has great respect for Walsh is you have to account for the fact that BB did it in an era where player movement was rampant and the salary cap existed. Walsh didn't have to deal with these things so building and...

Tom Brady ‘wouldn't be opposed' to NFL return, mentions Patriots -- DON'T NEED A QB ANYMORE!

Different opinions but that's OK. I for one would not want to see Brady finish his career floundering around like every guy (including Manning) who stayed way too long. Part of cementing his legacy as GOAT is leaving people believing he could have won even more titles. After 7 rings and a...

Tom Brady ‘wouldn't be opposed' to NFL return, mentions Patriots -- DON'T NEED A QB ANYMORE!

What would you say if Manning tried to come back now? As for the color spot, I don't need my color guy to be super entertaining. I just need him to know the game and not annoy the crap out of everyone. I think Brady can fit that bill.
