I'd take tons of OL and hope to hell you can string together a few starters.

Just what I've observed over 30+ years of watching the NFL. If others disagree, that's fine. But QBs have way too much on their plates in studying the playbook to get these basics together.

Teams had all the info on Marino, too. Still picked Eason, Blackledge, and O'Brien ahead of him. Scouts get enamored with absolutely stupid things. Like all the WRs they have rated on their board in low rounds where they note "Just gets open"....like that's not an important trait.

I'd have rather had Alt or Harrison. Guys that could start building a foundation for someone eventually.

Athleticism never overcomes that.

I disagree on pretty much all that as I've yet to see any player radically improve either from college to the pros. But, we'll see.

Because by the time they've reached the pros, they've been doing this sorta thing so long it's become instinct. Timing is also something that tends to be innate. You usually have it or you don't.

Seeing footwork and timing issues gives me major pause. That's the sort of thing that tends not to be correctable at the pro level.

Plunkett went with the Raiders. Eason was a rotation QB. Drew was probably the best of the first rounders. ....did you forget Jones already?

Yeah, the OL is worse:P It was a turnstile.

Poor kid. Coming to a team with no line, no receivers, no running backs, no tight ends. Hope the kid's okay with sitting.

Given how poorly most draft experts do at rating QBs.... that makes me all the more excited about next year's class.

And just remember, it is not just fans or disgruntled players that were confused/frustrated with Patricia/Judge. Plenty of other analysts were calling the PLAY DESIGN trash. Not the players' performance. The design. The thing that is solely the responsibility of the coaches.

Maybe all these days and months of pride are there to, I don't know, try to have one nice day to say they exist, they're human, they're happy to be who they are when every other day they have to deal with hate, fear, ignorance, violence, and potentially death. Many choose to bury how they feel...
