In my need to feed my draft jones I’ve started poking around into different podcasts and there’s good stuff out there.
With the First Pick: An NFL Draft Podcast from CBS Sports
- probably my favorite
- Ryan Wilson, Rick Spielman
- long episodes that get in depth
- longtime GM commenting lends...
Spot on…
D McCourty tells amusing S Belichick story as S coach: Media flips out on nepotism, mischaracterizes it as DM is attacking Bill, fails to acknowledge D has done very well as Steve moved up D coaching ranks.
T Bruschi makes idiotic take on 25 years and media runs with it, fail to...
It's amazing to see how worked up they get. I'm having trouble listening to WEEI 2-6 now, Adam Jones just seems terrible. Instead of showing any knowledge or analysis of anything at all, their role is to just be outraged and put out idiotic hot takes.
McCourty’s take rings true to me, Bill was speaking to fans not to his players. Bruschi comes off like a mediot, he’d never give his players that message.
I’m starting to feel Charlie Jones could be a steal in the fourth.
Lit up Penn State (12/153/1), Syracuse (11/188/1), and Michigan (13/162/0). While he may not have always been covered by #1 CB at all times in those games he was their only threat receiver (triple the yards of next best...
PFF seems to have limited the free mock draft to 2 rounds today.
Like the PFN I did this morning. Starting R tackle, developmental tackle, blocking TE to protect Mac/develop as a receiver, and 2 tall CBs for outside/potential switch to safety.
I agree this draft has real strength 25-80, depending on who is there at 14, picking up an extra pick in that range is ideal. I’d rather hypothetically get Darnell Wright/Dawna’s Jones and E Forbes/Julius Brents than just get Broderick Jones. Increasing picks in this range also dramatically...
Personally think this is all overblown, Lazar was saying it’s more an assistant to the coach than Assistant Coach. Described it as Matt P/Ernie in the back of the room, not on the field, not interacting with press, a demotion, and definitely not moving ahead of Mayo. The media just blowing out...
Personally, I’d prefer Tucker Kraft at 70-90 or Schoonmaker at 90-110 rather than LaPorta at 45-60. Both are much better blockers with very good receiving talent (Kraft) or potential (Schoon) at a much lower draft price.
Ben Muth at FO has had a few articles on Bengals line this year and he has raised Williams as a big issue. Thinks he lacks the athleticism needed to be a great LT. whether that’s been due to some recent knee injuries I’m not sure.
