The New England Patriots defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31 on Sunday evening.
New England started fast, disappeared in the third quarter and came back with an offensive explosion in the final quarter of play. The Patriots had 610 total yards and scored the most points, 55, of any team in the NFL this season. Also, 55 points is the most allowed in Steelers history.
Here is my player of the game. --
Tom Brady: It took nine weeks, but Pats fans finally got a vintage Brady performance Sunday. No. 12 was dealing, throwing darts all over the field. New England had three 100-yard receivers in the week nine contest, with Rob Gronkowski (143), Aaron Dobson (130) and Danny Amendola (122).
Brady was 23-33, 432 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He had a quarterback rating of 151.8 after four straight weeks under 75. New England was 7-for-12 on third down, which was a breath of fresh air after last week's 1-for-12 effort.
The Pats go into their bye week with a 7-2 record. Despite all of the off-season issues, criticism throughout the season, struggles and injuries, the team continues to win. They weren't perfect, but Brady and the Patriots were rolling on Sunday.
