Default We need a DC from the outside

BB D's can't get of on third down or in general. To reliant on turnovers again.

The Dolphins were 2-14 on 3rd downs last week and they have pretty damn good 3rd down personnel. The Pats have also held the Chargers to two scores through nearly 50 minutes of football.

Impressive work.

16 words.

1 factual error.

2 spelling errors.

No, we need more of a Pass Rush. I hope that one develops as the season goes on.

That was an OK defensive performance all told -- 21 points given up against a good team, a couple of TOs that generated some modest field position for the offense.

But boy does the defense let opponents march up and down the field.

The rules have made it impossible for defenses to stop great QBs. Basically, you have to create turnovers to have a chance. The Pats did it today and the Chargers' supposedly Great defense did not.

Some of the the throws Rivers made were undefensible, Chargers are a good offensive team and its only week 2, lets see how the D develops as the year goes on.

Guys - The defense didn't "ALLOW" the Chargers offense to march up and down the field. The Chargers offense EARNED those yards. They have a top 5 QB in Rivers and a Top 5 WR in Jackson. Jackson made several spectacular catches. FFS, give credit where it's due.

And this idea that they "relied on turnovers" is just a joke. They created those turnovers. Again, give credit where it's due. The pats put consistent pressure on Rivers all day. The Chargers countered with numerous dump offs to their RBs (10 of 12 I believe) and Rivers out-ran the pressure a few times. Ignoring that and not giving Rivers credit means that YOU are the problem, not the defense. It means your expectations are out of whack and that you need to figure out what is truly realistic.
