Typically when you have two couples with the same financial status, if they decide to split, each keeps whatever they had entering the marriage and split the value/earnings of anything accrued during the marriage 50/50.

Actually the Forbes estimate on G was $45M. And people here wonder why they need or if they can afford a $20M mansion on an $11M lot in CA... Tom probably made in the $35M range in the same time period considering his signing bonus on the new deal and his recent endorsement deals like Under Armour - that included a stake in the company, an industry first for athletes in such endorsement deals.

Really unnecessary. Prenups come into play when one person is significantly wealthier than the other. Both of them are very wealthy.

I hope they save some of those riches for when Tom's arm falls off and gravity & wrinkles do their work on Gis; it won't be long now (5-10 years).....oops too late they are spending like Mike Tyson or JaMarkus Russell...well not that bad but that mansion is pretty disgusting.
