Default Brady's is Not Undefeated at Home since late '06

It is amusing to read national football pundits putting Patriots in Super Bowl already because Brady has not lost at Gillette since 2006. *The Pats, as we know, were smoked by the Ravens last January at home playoff game for a one-and-out.

It's the regular-season home streak they're all referring to.

That playoff game last year was one of the worse playoff games.I hope they can come back this year from it.

Brady is undefeated at home without broken ribs though.........

Yes, Baltimore beat them last year, but this team is light years ahead of that one, and I highly doubt any team is looking forward to coming to the Razor for the postseason.....

I understand that, but it also significant to note that their last playoff game was a loss at home with Brady at QB 11 mos. ago.

They had a playoff game last year?

Huh...

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

For most individual achievements they count only the regular season (see Favre's playing streak for example, or first to 100 wins by Tom).

With regard to season team success they always add in the postseason-- You always hear about the 17-0 Dolphins (rather than 14-0) 18-1 Patriots (rather than 16-0) etc.

It doesn't really matter, but I always tack on the "regular season" qualifier.

Like when people say that Peyton Manning is an all-time great QB, I correct the statement to "Peyton Manning is an all-time great REGULAR SEASON QB"

Tom has a regular season home winning streak, OK?

Hey, we put up with when they kept saying the Colts had the most wins in the last decade. We all know that was only regular season even if the TV folks don't say it. It's just the way it works sometimes.
