Default Why do we allow Jets threads in the Patriots Fan Forum

Didn't Ian design this area to be for Patriots only threads?

Except on game week where threads of opponents come into play?

Wasn't the idea of all the sub categories to keep the non Patriots threads away?

Just asking ... seems like if you're friendly with a mod you get special treatment.

We shouldn't have Jet's threads in this area unless they specifically relate to the Patriots.

Thanks for the time.

The Green Beans are the Patriots' most hated rival.

And, they suck.

That's why.

Why do we allow threads complaining about Jets Threads in the Patriots Fan Forum?

Just checked on your previous posts....

You responded approximately 6 or more times in the Packer Bears MNF
Thread which was in the main forum which you are apparently against

Last time I looked this team was not called the Bears or Packers ...right?

Yet you posted on that thread several times without complaint and a post or two in the Jason Taylor thread....Jason Taylor is not a Patriot right?,no complaint there either.

If the MNF game did not involve or intesrest anything Patriots then why did you bother to join in?...should all MNF games be posted in the NFL forum too?

Practice what you preach, please

Having a forum with information only about the Patriots would be like having an argument with yourself. Unless you're crazy, you aren't going to find it very interesting.

The reason football is fun to watch is because we have opponents. To ignore this fact, and to ignore our opponents, would be to ignore the game itself.

It is at our discretion, curbed by moderators, as to what opponent information is relevant to Pats fans and what information is more appropriate to general football fans.

If you don't like these threads, I would suggest you hide or ignore them.

I love Jets' threads. I get to actually read about what players and coaches think instead of the usual Patriots padded answers. Every hero needs a villain and we got the Jests. And lets face it, the dialogue on this board has gotten pretty routine. This board needs a boost of life. In fact, lets get NEM back so we can do a little rubber necking.

There is obviously some interpersonal background here I don't know about and don't care about, but here's a rational answer.

Because this is the one forum which everyone visits, the audience for other forums is much much smaller. And anything *significant* about an AFC East team is relevant to us.

Why do republican forums have topics about democrats?

I respectfully disagree.
Yes we're inundated by JETs threads but I find most of them amusing and ignore others. This is a site for info & fun. I find many other threads personally more annoying. Tastes vary.

Were I king of the site I'd enable an ignore thread feature so as to never have to see the most inane threads again.
