So what you are saying is if a QB is hit hard and can hardly stand you would still send him in and risk his future as well as your teams chances because injuries are a part of the game? Where is the common sense in that.... Look at what the Vikings did with Ponder

That's a pretty ridiculous stipulation for a QB. If a QB was known JUST for his running ability he wouldn't be a QB.

So Shanny had a press conference and BB would have given him an A for not saying anything. He claims (untruthfully, I'm sure) that he doesn't know anything about RG's knee, but he's going to be examined by Dr. Andrews tomorrow.

I think most likely re-injured his ACL. At the very least anyway.

During the WEEI BB interview just a few minutes ago, they interrupted to say RG3 has torn ACL & PCL and I thought Ordway said out 14-18 months! Did I hear that right?

Sounds like a rumor, not fact.

And any sort of timeline for recovery is an estimate, at best. After all, I remember some folks (Esiason?) saying that Welker's 2009 ACL tear would cost him the entire 2010 season.

Well that blows if ture. Why is there such long timetable for a return considering what guys like AP,Welker did and the stress they take?

No clue on ligaments but i'm assuming that the PCL tear is the big thing there?

Four thoughts and a question, assuming that the early reports are correctand RGIII will miss all of next season.

A loss not just for the Redskins and their fans, but for the NFL.

From the comfort of my NYC living room on Sunday, I could see that the guy didn't belong in the game. What was Shanahan thinking? What was RGIII thinking? What was Dr. Andrews thinking? None of them were thinking.

Selfishly, one less team to keep the Giants out of the Playoffs and a chance to play a "Home" SB next season.

Just when it looked like Dan Snyder had finally somehow done something right when it comes to betting the farm and giving a player a big contract...

Wasn't the fact that he had already blown the knee out in College a warning sign, especially given his style of play? (Question, because I just don't know.)

Kirk Cousins is a talented backup QB,He can't do the things RGIII did,but he is certainly capable of starting for this team and winning enough games to get them back into the playoffs in 2013.
