I agree.

The 2nd best scenario is we lose once and finish 12-4, but still get at least the #2 seed. It's hard to imagine Houston losing 3 out of 4 games. But if Baltimore beats Denver and then loses to either the Giants or Cincy, 12-4 would give us the edge over both teams.

Who else will beat them do you think?

Minny or Indy?

Both have a shot I guess - I don't thhink either have a QB that is capable of scaring Houston - fingers crossed though eh?!

What Andy is saying s Houston is bound to lose one of its 2 remaining games against the colts. We would both be 13-3, but win the tiebreaker having beaten them.

With the Ravens loss we officially control our own destiny for the bye. Of course that all changes if we lose tomorrow

Not to the level of self-delusion though - half our remaining games are against the NFL elite - Denver faces only the dregs apart from a fading (but hopefully angry Baltimore!)
We will be favored in every game. Denver will not.
We have 3 of 4 at home.
We have won 21 straight December home games and haven't lost a game in the second half of the season since 2009.

big assumption there. They'll be motivated after the beat down in Foxboro.

I really wish the first game was @ Indy, cuz with the AFC sucking so bad there's a decent chance Indy has their WC wrapped up before the week 17 matchup at home against Houston. I think Houston goes 14-2 at worst and winds up with the 1 seed, there's always hope though.

Either way, it's good to know that we get rewarded with a bye if we do win out.

They will lose one of the 3, most likely at Indy. Just what I think will happen.
Of course we could also be the 2 seed and host the AFCCG if Baltimore, Indy, Cincy, or Pitt go into Houston and win in the divisional round, which isn't that far fetched.

Right because teams often win games because they are 'motivated' because of a loss

OR.

if PATs win out and Texans lose their first Playoff game the AFCC is at Foxboro
( assuming PATs win their first playoff game )
