Stats:
Brady: 65.8%, 1845 yds, 10 td, 3 int, 97.2 rating
Manning: 67.8%, 1808 yds, 14 td, 4 int, 105.0 rating
*Brady also leads the #1 offense in the league in both points scored and yards gained
Look, we all knew this was coming - that if Manning had a good year that he'd be hailed as an MVP candidate. Right now the Broncos are 3-3, which is a .500 team. Last year, without him, and with Tim Tebow, the Broncos were 8-8, which is a .500 team.
I'm not saying that Brady should be the league's MVP. I am saying that it never ceases to amaze me that Manning is *always* considered in the top group for MVP while, in this case, Brady isn't even mentioned.

espn was having a love affair with the texans as well, while i was questioning how good they really were when there first 5 games were against miami, jacksonville, denver, tenessee, NYJ. they barely beat NYJ and denver but everyone was praising them as the best team in the NFL...then they got torn apart by green bay, who has looked fairly bad thus far...and immediately afterwards seemed to back track a bit.
I think the texans are good, just not as good as they were made out to be...afc south is the new afc east.
plus, its manning...hell ALWAYS be in MVP discussions...even though that comeback was almost entirely defensive.

So you want him to be considered for Comeback Player of the Year and not MVP?
I give Manning all the credit in the world: he walks into a new place, rallies the guys around him and has them in the thick of things despite a pretty tough schedule. His numbers match up with TB and it is better for football to have Manning back despite career threatening injury.

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "
He deserves to be in the consideration for it, just like Brady does.
And in all honesty if we are going to be fair so does Matt Ryan, leading a 6-0 team as well as Robert Griffin III.
As of right now it's not hard to make a case RG3 has been the MVP of his team. And yes, I know the fact that in some people's mind with him being a rookie he is automatically disqualified from the race, but I could care less.
Kid is playing lights out and has way fewer weapons to work with than Brady.

With Tebow as the starter, they were 8-5. This year they have upgraded the roster, added Peyton, and slid to 0.500. Granted though, they have had a tough schedule.
