Default Lions' Ndamukong Suh accused of road rage, sideswiping car, leaving scene of accident

The Detroit Lions' Ndamukong Suh is once again in the news for an alleged road rage incident involving a Lions fan.

Lions' Suh accused of sideswiping car, berating driver - Fox 2 News Headlines

"I look over at him and he started yelling at me, 'Trying to cut me off. Get out of the way.' And I just said, 'Really?'" he explained. "He just started yelling about getting the hell out of his way and cutting him off."

Vines said the guy left the scene of the accident. He called 911 and watched the man drive into the Lions' practice facility. Dearborn Police told Vines to meet them there, but when he arrived, he said the driver gave him another earful.

"That's when he said, 'I advise you to leave, now.' And I said, 'I'm not going anywhere. I talked to the police.' (He said), 'I don't care what they said. You need to get out of here.' And then he said, 'I'm advising you to leave, now.'"

2 thoughts come to mind:

1. It makes you realize that there is a fine line between talent and character concerns, in terms of trying to assess players out of college. Many would have traded away a very high pick for Suh about a yr or two ago, now not so much. We also see this example with a guy like Dez Bryant, who many wanted in the draft. Sometimes Belichick really does know what he's doing

2. I also wonder what a guy like Suh (or my example of Bryant) could do with the proper discipline on this current NEP team. How much difference would it potentially make?

So much for him being a sweet guy off the field. Looks like his handlers are going to have their work cut out for them.

And with his bad rap, he doesn't even get the innocent until proven guilty that us mortal men get.

There's gotta be some explanation of Tully Banta-Cain's good year, right?

That was the moment where Suh lost my respect on a football field forever.

Some people don't want to get along
i.e. Alberto Haynesworth

I read this as "Road rape." Perhaps it's time to go to bed...

True dat, but back in the 80's there were a lot of suspicions that the Pats liked their white away jerseys because it hid any blow they spilled.
