Default Indy really starting over: even Dan Orlovsky is gone

When was the last time a team had on its roster one QB with zero stats?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign QB Dan Orlovsky to be Josh Freeman's backup - ESPN

Well than I assume they got rid of Curt Cobain Lookalike Curtis Painter too...right? Orlovsky looked good out there last year......Painter downright sucked.....Not sure this makes sense. But I will tell you one thing......Tampa looks to be very good next season....(Unless they pull a philly eagles kind of implosion)

Looks like they are repeating what they did in 1998 when they gave Peyton the ball and let him start from day 1, sort of a "sink or swim" mentality. They were 3-13 that year but it paid off long term. If, and IF Luck has as successful a career, it will work. If he gets killed behind no offensive line, no RBs, no receivers, it will be Joey Harrington/Jim Plunkett all over again and he may never recover from the loss of confidence. What's the right approach? Who knows. for Aaron Rodgers, it was sitting for three years, TFB one year....On the flip side, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton proved NFL ready from day one, Blaine Gabbert not so much. Was is them, coaching or supporting staff?

For Gabbert a lack of talent was definitely a factor as their best receiver was Jason Hill who they cut after firing Del Rio. The fact that he also gets scared at pressure doesn't help.
