I say Tennessee because screw the Colts fans. Peyton would go back home where he belongs and where everyone loves him. Colts fans would need to root against their beloved Manning at least twice a year. It would be like his whole time with Indianapolis never happened.

This would be a good choice for Manning too becasue he has Kenny Britt to throw to (recovering from ACL surgery) and CJ2K in the backfield. The only problem is they already have Hasselbeck and Locker but I think they could release or trade Hasselbeck and keep Locker in waiting for a couple years.

Other possibilities are Miami and Washington but I think Washington is out because I can't see him playing in the same division as Eli. Miami is not a great option either because of those pesky Patriots.

My assumption is Peyton will perform at a high enough level to beat the Colts every year, but not well enough to be a serious threat in the AFC.

My money is still on his retirement.

It's possible for him to go to Tennessee. It would be a reasonable fit for him, but you know he still prefers to play in a dome. I could see him in Miami, and you KNOW the NFL would love to see a Brady/Manning twice a year. the TV ratings would be through the roof.

My guess would be Dallas.

The Cowboys have all the talent they need there, Jerry Jones would be willing to trade 2 #1s and 2 #2s, and he could even recoup one of those #1s by then trading Romo.

It doesn't matter what Jones wants to trade. He can't be traded before the start of the 2012 league year. If the Colts don't cut Manning before the start of the league year he gets a $28m roster bonus. If they do that, his cap hit if they trade him is $38m for 2012.

They only possible way they can trade him is if Manning and Tom Condon agree to push the bonus back which has a less than 0% chance of happening since all it would do is remove Manning's choice about where he plays next year.

And if he does push it back, then it hurts his trade value, b/c the new team would have to pay him that bonus (imagine what the Pats would have been able to get if Cassel only cost, say, $2M for 2009 instead of $14.6M).

Tennessee would be fools not to take him...Draft aother WR to go along with Britt and a TE, then even Tennessee would beat the Colts twice a year.

Exactly. I would add that there is about a 0% chance that he'll return to the Colts. You can tell there is animosity between Manning and Irsay. Manning doesn't want play on a rebuilding team, ie. one that drafts A. Luck as opposed to say Blackmon.

He can't be traded. He's being cut (or retained but that's not likely). Jones is committed to Romo and won't risk a gamble on replacing an inconsistent performer with a 37 year old whose arm strength may never fully return. Snyder is desperate and will offer him the moon, but I don't think he wants to play in Eli's division or outdoors on the East Coast.

Miami's idiot owner will make a run, but he makes runs at anything moving to no avail. Peyton won't play out whatever his back 9 entails in the AFCE with Bill and Tom.

Tennessee has already stated they have no interest, because they are stupid. Jacksonville's new owner apparently suffers from the same malady as Tennessee's...

Best landing spots for Peyton are in the NFCW. Arizona just hired his former QB coach to coach their WR's. I know they traded for and signed Kolb, but I think they knew when they did it it was a desperation move that would never pan out beyond middle of the pack. Wisenhut had a nice run with Warner and he has the weapons to have a nice run with Manning. And absent trade compensation, it's only money. And Kolb's option isn't due for another month or so... Seattle doesn't have a QB and Pete is desperate to succeed this time around and Paul Allen has more personal wealth than all the rest of the owners combined. They need some weapons, but Wayne could follow him there, maybe even Garcon and Tamme.

1. Miami - Easier to make the playoffs in the AFC. Warm weather, maybe bring in a wr with him and draft a T opposite Long at 9.

2. Washington - Would prob bring Reggie Wayne with him and have an established coach.

3. Arizona - Kurt Warner did fine out there

4. NY Jets - Doubt he wants to join the circus.

5. SF - Could get them to the Super Bowl.
