Yeah, I read it as: "I'm Challenging The League To Eat The Patriots."

I don't see the issue here. I believe he basically said the same thing last year. The Patriots were 13-1 against the non-Jets last season.

I guess I don't really understand why he feels the need to challenge the rest of the league. If he challenges himslef and his team to win every game (he keeps blabing about how great his teams is) he doesn't have to worry about what the rest of the league does. Unless in his world he sees both teams finishing 15-1. Last year all he had to do was go 14-0 against the rest of the league and he would have won the division. Whats next? Threaten the rest of the league that if they dare to beat his unbeatable Jets he will sext them Favre/Weiner style? It would make just about as much sense.

Thats exactly how I interperted his statement. He thinks he owns the Pats now and is calling out the league from being scared to step up cuz the Pats are beatable.

Rex Ryan is such a blowhard. I will give him credit for being the ultimate Jets-PR machine. Dude knows how to get his team in the headlines.

At some point you'd think opposing coaches/players would be as tired with his act as fans are...

Imagine if a team that took Rex's challenge seriously rose up to the occasion and beat the Patriots but ended up to be the team that garnished the final #6 seed by one more win over the Jets knocking Rex's team out of the playoffs.

That would be the ultimate wish any Pats fan could have for Gang Green

A real challenge for Rex Ryan would be for him to tie his own shoes.
