Default NFL QB Phillip Rivers is on EWTN -- the Global Catholic Newtork, right now!

I'm flipping channels and I see....this....wow. Two disparate worlds collide. Just seeing Rivers sit next to two brothers in full monk wardrobe...mind-blowing.

I want to see the priest call him out for his bratty outbursts where he's thrown the ball, kicked it, and then shouted at his OC. Not yet though.

Just talking about chastity and stuff.

he's not the only religious QB in the NFL. Rodgers and Brees are highly religious people as well.

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "

Disparate worlds? He's Catholic. How is it shocking that a Catholic celebrity is on a Catholic network? That's about as shocking as sports celebrities on ESPN, entertainment starts on E!, and famous chefs on the Food Network.

I didn't realize that Catholic people are not allow to shout at other people...

Worst thread ever.

Meh.

I think we tend to dislike him simply because he's the face of a conference rival, and therefore find reasons to justify not liking him. If he wore our laundry I'm guessing 90% of us that dislike would stand up for his competitive fire.

Seeing him compete at a high level despite a blown out knee in the playoffs makes him okay in my book - especially in comparison to the effort put forth by his then-teammate running back, sulking on the bench behind his dark visor.

he's been on there before lol

hardly news worthy

him and tebow are probably the 2 most spiritual qbs in the nfl, probably in all of sport

but they have a fiery competitivness like brady as well

so it's all good , unless you're a hater

some fans are uneducated to what goes on in the rest of the nfl, because they shelter themselves to only their own team's news, which makes them very shallow, and their opinions less credible, because usually they don't see other perspectives but their own.
