Sorry .. Dolphins extend Sparano through 2013

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that the Dolphins have extended head coach Tony Sparano's contract through 2013.
The new deal is an apology from owner Stephen Ross after he put Sparano and his coaching staff in a week-long holding pattern while trying to replace them with Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh didn't want to go to Miami, so Ross is back stuck with Sparano. Sparano is expected to serve an "expanded role in personnel decisions," while attempting to repair his relationship with the owner and GM Jeff Ireland, who both turned their back on him. Yeah, trying to replace your coach then saying forget it always works well. Looks like Dave Wannsted.

It is important that a coach feels "important"
I don't think anyone could possibly make you understand this.

So the owner has no confidence in the coach, the players know he's a second choice and the GM and he don't get along.

Seems like a formula for success to me.

He must be jacked and pumped.

Mr. Mangini, this is called the Bay Bridge. It goes from San Francisco to Oakland, Calif. Buy the season pass, it's cheaper---

I hope that Al Davis passes on some of that virgin blood he's been drinking (according to Chiefs fans) to Bill Belichick so he can live forever.
