Watched him this weekend and he looked good. I really do like a QB that scrambles and I forgot that bit about him from the 2008 season. Anyway they are definately a team on the rise.
I hope Cassel and the Chiefs can beat the Chargers in a few weeks. After the Indy game, I was watching NFL Network and they talked as if the Chargers winning the division was automatic and would have no problem with the rest of the schedule........I'd love to see them proved wrong (like usual).

Agree, I'd love to see Cassel win that game.
He's had a great year. Really, he has had a Pro Bowl kind of year. But I'm sure Manning will get in instead of him
Amazing 22-4 TD/INT ratio. Weis has really taken his game to a new level. I remember when he was here guys like Jamie Dukes were downplaying his success saying he can't throw the ball longer than 10 yards. I hope that Cassel finally gets a shot at the playoffs even if it is two years too late.
Re: OT: Through 11 Games, Matt Cassel Has Thrown 22TD's, 4 INT's
His play should be worthy of a Pro Bowl spot. As I said in another thread, I am sure Manning will get it instead. But it should be Brady-Rivers-Cassel. I am sure it won't, though.
Hopefully, Brady will be playing the week after the Pro Bowl and there will be an extra spot open for Cassel anyway

Absolutely amazing.
He's a top 10 QB right now, and probably the best QB out of his draft class that included Leinart, Young, and Cutler.
Cassel was part of the 2005 NFL Draft:
Alex Smith
Aaron Rodgers
Jason Campbell
Charlie Frye
Andrew Walter
David Greene
Kyle Orton
Stefan LeFors
Dan Orlovsky
Adrian McPherson
Derek Anderson
James Kilian
Matt Cassel
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Well, I'd probably consider Rodgers over Cassel, but that's about it. OTOH, look at the 2006 class:
Vince Young
Matt Leinart
Jay Cutler
Kellen Clemens
Tarvaris Jackson
Charlie Whitehurst
Brodie Croyle
Brad Smith
Ingle Martin
Omar Jacobs
Reggie McNeal
Bruce Gradkowski
DJ Shockley
Wow. This is almost hide-the-children bad.

Yesterday, neither could Peyton Manning.
