Peyton's commercials have seriously gone downhill since the days of "cut that meat." But I digress (often)...

Stallworth is no more than a #4, a short passing game RB.

Don't turn your noses up at a viable wide receiver.

Problem is(Maybe) that we really need someone like Floyd or Bryant AND Stallworth for this offense! Hopefully Tate works his way into a rotation like that and then we'd be ok when Wes gets back.

He actually didn't really get it. Gaffney had surpassed/replaced him as Tom's #3 choice down the stretch. YAC is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately you have to be in the right place at the right time to get thrown at here...I think Stallworth struggled with that post snap reading stuff. If I recall he was also in the pee in a cup club when he got here, or had been, so it's not like this was his lone mistake. I think it's unfortunate because I think at heart Donte was a good guy, but he's not the kind of charcter guys you need here in 2010.

When a guy just never quite lives up to his potential no matter now many places he lands, it's usually because there is something lacking in the guy.

Stallworth has much to get back, like his reputation. I think he'd be affordable and would play his butt off. Depend on what "punishment" the comish wants to mete out.

I think for Stallworth, being back here would be somewhat of a "comfort zone" for him as its the last place he was even a little bit relevent in the recent past. Plus, having a good working relationship with Brady and the coaches would be nice too. I'm all for it.

You're definitely right - although I thought the offense was better with Stallworth - but he was still playing in the second half and playoffs. He wasn't the favorite son but he wasn't Galloway either.

He made a horrible mistake, but I don't think his character has ever been a question. I'm not sure how the Krafts feel about him but I would take him back in a time of serious need.

He knows the system.

He was a downfield threat.

He can provide some sort of early season help while Tate/Draftee get fully acquainted with game time and then move aside once they improve.

I'm all for it.

And as for Myra Kraft, I'm not particularly bothered by her opinion. This is football, not Church.

Makes a lot of sense. Would also like them to pick up a consistent, gaffney type.
