I guess this is really becoming a reality as of right now... I know its a year away, but still this is the focus of the future not of the Pats, but the leauge as a whole... Its been solid for over 20 plus years, and growing every year.. The only sport that could say that.. Baseball regressed, came back, and is up and down to... NBA, is ok again thanks to the celts and the lakers... NHL- Never has recoverd , except the winter classic thing keeps it a heartbeat...
I dont know if I could follow football if it sits out a year, but I do think that cooler heads will purvail... This Demarcus Smith wants to go to war, and Jerry Jones does not want to share his Millions anymore...The Smart owners generated revenue, Like Kraft, but the Bill Bidwill, Ralph Wilson, and Mike Browns of the world are getting a free pass..
The nfl is a great sport, here is hoping it continues..

What a depressing thought of there not being football in 2011...
Hopefully the NFL and NFLPA can learn from the NHL lockout of 2004, the game took a dive in popularity and never really recovered. The same could be said of the MLB 1994/1995 strike...

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."
I love football, but ultimately I could live without sports if it came to that. Yes, the fans would have to respond by striking on their own when the teams come back to play. I'd do it.
It was the owners, not the NFLPA, who opted out of the CBA.

Couple points...
A wicked big asteroid could hit between now and then, both cancelling the NFL season and making the point moot.
And congress failed to act on the Estate Tax in 2009 making 2010 a good year to die in that any amount passes on to heirs untaxed! Plan ahead people.
Just sayin...

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
You know, I would really hate to see 2011 a strike year, but, that's the year Indianapolis is supposed to get the Super Bowl, so I guess I can accept it if it means Indy misses out.
Guys, in an effort to make sure we all see NFL football next year, I wanted to encourage you on behalf of the NFLPA to sign your names to this petition and block the lockout. Nobody wants to miss out on a season of football and the way to make sure we see the NFL next year is to speak up! So tell you friends and sign up yourself so we can have our Sunday routines intact next year.
