Sounds like he's trying to deflect. What's he trying to deflect away from, you ask?

1. His team lost to the LIONS.

2. Not only did his team lose to them, they gave up 30+ to them.

3. His job is in jeopardy.

4. He's fat.

5. His team lost to the LIONS.

So what else is new. His team loses to a rookie QB and a team the didn't win a game all last year. The Rat needs to focus on football and not being a rat.

When you say "no one's perfect", Tom Brady takes this as a personal insult.

How many people find Ratgini either credible or likable?
Matt Millen says "hi."

You overlooked 6. and 7.

6. One of his guys brought in to lead the way installing the system committed the bone headed mistake that turned a game ending pick in the EZ into defensive PI and an untimed shot at 4th and goal that was predictably converted.

7. After the starting QB was seriously injured in completing said score an official procedural injury time out to remove him from the field left him ineligible for the 2 point conversion necessary to win... UNTIL Mangidiot called his remaining time out thereby allowing him to re-enter the game in place of his cold off the bench backup, the incomparable Daunte Culpepper.

Coaching is a fraternity and jobs are secured based on either loyalty or performance. Eric has screwed his own pooch going forward about as thoroughly as anyone in the history of the league.

Millen survived because he remains likeable in the eyes of the media he sprung from. They will defend him to the death because he was one of them before he was a failed GM...

Matt Millen was just incompetent at the GM level - Mangini is an evil snitch who betrays everyone who helped him along the way.

It would be a shame if Charlie Weiss goes to Cleveland as Offensive Coordinator to re-unite with Brady Quinn if it means he rescues Ratgini's career. Charlie should be wary, it will only be a matter of time before Fredo turns on him and blames Charlie for his lack of ability. How many guys who gave him a leg up is Ratgini going to betray before they rise up and slay him?

So Mangini should be radioactive after this job, I certainly would hope so anyways. Who else here sees a tell all book in the rats future?
