Seymour Prediction Update!!! “I don’t think we could have beaten an Oakland high school team today,” said defensive lineman Richard Seymour.

Whatever his motivation Seymour was NOT predicting playoffs as a result of clear thinking. Jamarcus Russell, at this point in time, cannot play QB at an NFL level with any consistency. Any cheese doodle eating NFL fan watching from home can see that. You do not win in the NFL without decent QB play.

It will be interesting to see what the stupid Raiders do in their next game (start Jamarcus or not).

No, because he lacks the cerebral make up to fit this read and react system as well as the work ethic and determination to even try and remotely develop it.

Cassel looks rough in KC because he has nothing to work with and his HC is egotistical. Pioli missed the boat with Josh while pondering his options. Then he sat on his hands through FA and traded a pro bowl TE away. Haley may have had some exposure to the system early in his career, but his coaching temperement is all wrong for the job of installing and running it.

They now know they're risking getting Cassel killed with this patchwork OL let alone minus Brandon Albert. Can't run the ball or pass protect. And LJ is behaving like a festering cancer in the clubhouse. Cassel isn't Brady even with BB and Moss and Welker. But he's better than Kyle Orton and look at what he's accomplishing with some talent around him and an excellent coaching staff in Denver. If Pioli sticks with Haley he's going to have to force a system OC on him for 2010. Not sure where he finds him as he can't poach one off Josh's or Bill's staffs since those are lateral moves. And plugging gaping holes in his roster in an uncapped year isn't going to be easy or cost effective.

To be fair Seymour said they'd be in "the playoffs". He didn't say which playoff's they'd be in. The Oakland Country Club's playoffs? The CA Pop Warner playoffs? You don't really think he means the NFL playoffs
