The Broncos played a great game. You have to give them credit. Their defense played well in the second half. The wildhorse offense was effective. I didn't think the Patriots played that bad, but for some reason, we are snakebit in Denver. The Patriots had their chances to win. Tough, hard fought battle between two very good teams. Patriots are still in good shape with the Titans and Buccaneers coming up. Is the band wagon getting lighter yet?

This is why I was scratching my head earlier this year when folk were rooting for a Broncos win over somebody. The Broncos have owned the Pats for years. Now we are 2.5 games behind them with 11 games to play. Not good.
Like i said in a previous thread , we need better designed offensive schemes and need a stronger running game , Sammy is not gonna be enough for the rest of the season.
There is a long road full of hurdles in front of the Pats. It's not gonna be easy.
Was a good game both teams had chances to win...while I'm happy with the result the OT rules can cripple the team losing the toss...would have been fun to watch them play another full quarter..
Josh made some bizarre coaching decisions in this one. The first challenge was bad (maybe his staff made the call there?), but why on Earth do you challenge the second play in the second quarter? Was three yards, even three yards that MIGHT keep the Patriots out of FG range, really worth burning your challenges for the remainder of the game? Turned out not to bite them, but still a bad decision.
Throwing at the end of the game was pretty bad, too. You know you're getting pressure there (why there wasn't more of it throughout the day, I'll never know), and your best chance of losing there is a negative play, which lobbing a deep ball, even against one on one coverage provides a hell of a chance to give you. Why not pound the rock there?
