Default Ben Roethlisberger taken off field in stretcher (Concussion)

Steelers’ Roethlisberger leaves with concussion

Roethlisberger was hurt with 1:48 remaining in the half when he was hit by Browns LBs D’Qwell Jackson and Willie McGinest after a pass attempt.

He was down on the field and being checked by trainers for over 10 minutes, and as he stayed down, teammates began to form a circle around the area on the field. Roethlisberger, who appeared to hit the back of his head on the turf when he came down, could be seen talking and was showing some movement.

One trainer near his head was holding Roethlisberger’s helmet with both hands, as is the normal precaution when players suffer concussions or head/neck injuries.

They do it for pre-cautions with the neck. IMO, they got lucky and it looks like they have a case of whip lash. He'll be ok, they're the 2nd seed aren't they?

Yup, locked in.

If we were to win the division and advance past Wild Card weekend, they'd be next for us.

yeah I guess he was down on the field for 10 minutes being tended to...even if it's a bad concussion I don't know if it would affect Roethlisberger with the first round bye and time to rest up....in the meantime the Pats are up 13-0 and in control!

Yeah, he'll be in my thoughts. Some karma for Steelers fans cheering for Brady's injury at the beginning of the season, I guess. I thought that hit by Big Willie was pretty dirty though. Helmet to helmet into the ground.
