I don't think it's an excuse (which is bad news for us). Did you see those passes he lofted up? The first one, in particular, was horrible. The motion with which he threw looked like a T-Rex was stepping into the pass.

well ..maybe its been the same all yr . how many big bombs has he thrown. When they lose, favre apologists come out. Even peter king said that that favre doesnt look right and he might have some injury. he is 39 yrs old. once the cold weather he started to stink it up. Not that he makes smart decisions either like the INT in seattle.

A pushing 40 year old QB who's been throwing footballs most of his life? Kind of logical it's not going to be 100%, especially the way he plays. He doesn't just throw the football, he puts maximum effort behind most of them. Thats why the man needs to finish and like every man should, know and accept his limitations now at 39 and move on.

Instead we'll have another off season of the Brett Favre show.

A sarcastic Bill Belichick on Tom Brady's finger injury, "It's not life threatening."

I don't think it's a strange excuse. He's old for an NFL QB, he has been through a lot in his career and I never honestly felt like he was completely comfortable going to the Jets anyway. And just like last season the cold weather makes him look even worse.

He should have retired officially before this season.
