ProFootballTalk.com - FINS-JETS COULD SLIDE TO LATE AFTERNOON

Conjecture so far, but honestly, the division games with so much on the line need to be played at the same time.

We're talking about it on other threads. They need to move both the Jets and Patriots game or neither. If they move just the Jets you North Easterners need to march on NY and light the *****ing NFL offices ablaze.

Um, WTF. Integrity, please. Seriously, the Patriots keep getting screwed over. This is ridiculous.

This is the year. We put our failures in the past, it's a new year, a new defense. It's time to prove to the league that the Patriots are back and aren't going anywhere and they will be the last ones standing in Feb.
Update: Well that didn't work out as I had planned. Next year baby, next year 19-0 we go. Next year.

doesnt it make sense to move the pats game ?
Its like 2002. Pats and fins played early and the jets played late knowing what they had at stake. i still remmeber jets had nothing to play for if the pats lost and when the pats won in OT, the stadium in nyc erupted in cheers.
that said i would rather play at 1 in buffalo than 4 .

It does - but they would still have to move either of the NY teams, which is fine. Moving either one AND the Patriots works just fine.

Actually, this is good for me. Now I'll get to see that game, whereas before, it was scheduled at the same time as the Titans.

On this thread :

Would Mangini be so cold and throw the game?

they're saying that the two NY teams can't play at the same time. First I've heard of it.

anyway , as bb says "They will let us know when to play and where to play and we will be there"

That's a very good point, and one that would probably be the fairest at this point.

As it stands now, the Phins will be playing a less than inspired Jets team IF the Patriots win the 1 o'clock game. That is completely not fair to the Patriots.

If the Jets-Phins game is on at 1, then the Jets still have something to play for regardless of wether or not the Pats win.
