Given the enormous investment that the Jets have made this year in an effort to become competitive in the AFC and in light of the fact that the AFC isn’t nearly as top heavy as it was in past seasons, anything less than a playoff appearance could put Mangini in the mix to become the next coach at Syracuse in 2009.

Unfortunately, so far it's as if Buffalo heard his plea and is covering his play. Otherwise it probably would have been 21-6 Buffalo before the half...
