The Patriots finished a poor second to Baltimore this year. They
cannot count on losses to Baltimore's roster to improve. The
Patriots have to continue to upgrade their defense and get bigger
and faster receivers who can get open. They cannot retain the
status quo and remain in the top five.

Flacco's cap hit this year will be much less than $20M.

BALT will lose free agents; after all they have over 20.

HOWEVER, the losses will likely be less than we think.

This board is often wondering how as team could sign the players that they did and still meet the cap. For example, we COULD re-sign Talib, Welker AND Vollmer to 4 year contracts.
