27 Mark Barron
31 Donta Hightower
48 Jamell Fleming
62 Ronnell Lewis
93 Marvin Jones (or Ryan Broyles)
127 Akiem Hicks
That is my perfect draft.

27. Gilbert CB/FS
31 Reyes- DT/DE
48 McCellin DE/OLB
62 Johnson CB/FS
93 Mike Brewster C
127 Ryan Broyles WR/KR
Fills all the apparent needs with a bit more attention to the DB. Broyles gets us a young productive WR on a red shirt year so he doesn't clutter up the WR situation....further
My perfect draft based on what I expect to be available
27. Barron - S - Gilbert is long gone and S is such an issue that it has to be met. Barron is the best option - He's a better value that Reyes
31 - McClellin - DE/OLB - Mercilus is long gone - Ryan Kerrigan clone
46- Thompson- DT - quick first step -
63 - Johnson - CB/FS - long DB with good ball skills
93- Matt McCants OT - but only if Light retires
126 -Ryan Broyes - WR - see above
Pick 27 Traded for 2013 1st round pick.
Broncos give up a 2013 1st round pick along with the 57 and 188 picks in this year's draft. No idea why the Broncos would do this but they did trade up for Tim Tebow once! Used the Mark Ingram trade last year with the Saints as a guideline.
Pick 31 Kendall Reyes DT
3-4 End who will contribute as a 1 gap player in the first year as he learns to 2-gap and refine his technique.
Pick 56 Josh Robinson CB
With a trade down the Patriots are wowed by the elite athleticism shown by Robinson at the combine.
Pick 57 Shea McClellin OLB
Like Reyes, will contribute on passing downs as he refines his game to establish himself as a bonafide NFL starter.
Pick 91 Greg Childs WR
The Patriots gamble on the health of Greg Childs, swayed by his stellar 2010 tape and potential to be a legitimate outside threat. Patriots could easily have picked fellow binky Marvin Jones here.
Pick 97 Markelle Martin FS
Patriots gamble at the top of the fourth round on a potential starting safety. Plenty of question marks but could end up plugging a big gap in the Patriots secondary.
Pick 114 Traded for 2013 3rd
BB just couldn't resist parlaying a mid fourth round pick into a top 96 pick next year signalling the point at which he is ready to take a punt on developmental players, siuational role players and others with question marks.
Pick 117 Malik Jackson DE
Patriots add a developmental (albeit expensive) 3-4 end who requires a year or so in the weight room but could contribute early as a versatile nickel pass rusher
Pick 135 Jonathan Massaquoi OLB
Again the Patriots take a flyer. This time they select another nickel pass rusher who has excellent measurables to become a real threat to opposing QBs. Also to be groomed to take on more OLB duties in time.
Pick 150 Quentin Saulsberry OC
The Patriots are paying Dan Connolly starter money, so the Patriots pick an experienced SEC O-lineman to develop behind primary backup Ryan Wendell, possibly on the Practice Squad.
Pick 168 Tom Compton OG
Another elite athlete to be groomed by Dante Scarnecchia as OG or to backup OT.
Pick 173 George Bryan TE
Underrated blocking TE. Strictly a Practice Squad candidate at this stage.
Pick 184 Andrew Datko OT
Injured O-lineman whose stock plummeted in his final year due to injury. Will have to check out medically but has the potential to be a solid NFL level player in the future. Starts on PUP to rehab and come back and challenge in 2013
Pick 185 Dajohn Harris DT
Intriguing D-lineman who failed to consistently play to his immense potential in college but could boost the Patriots interior pass rush on 3rd down.
Pick 197 Ryan Broyles WR
Again, the Patriots pick up a senior year injury victim whose stock has fallen rapidly. Shades of Bradndon Tate as he recovers on PUP in his first year.
Pick 205 Brandon Bolden RB PS
The Patsriots like SEC running backs and need another project to develop on the Practice Squad and so pick one up in the 7th round.
Pick 211 Ron Brooks CB Nickel
Fantastic value as the Patriots take the versatile LSU defender with their last pick. Could be a real steal and solve a problem as a slot or nickel corner back.
Trades in full
Trade 27 to Broncos for 2013 1st, 57, 188
Trade 62 & 93 to Steelers for 56,119,193
Trade 48 & 126 to Dolphins for 72, 73 and 196
Trade 72 & 188 to Eagles for 88, 114, 153
Trade 73 to Packers for 90, 123, 163 & 224
Trade 88 to Colts for 97 & 136
Trade 114 for 2013 3rd
Trade 123 to Cowboys for 152 & 186
Trade 163 to Redskins for 173 & 213
Trade 153 to Giants for 167 & 201
Trade 193 & 201 for 190 & 205 (Had to cheat a little here to get DaJohn Harris and Brandon Bolden)
The Patriots war room was intent on setting a draft record for the most amount of trades in a single draft. BB was especially gracious in picking up a number of my binkies that I recommended to him. Now let's hope he doesn't cut them in camp ....
And it doesn't stop there. The UDFA class is pretty good too, especially the depth at WR.
BJ Cunningham WR
Junior Hemingway WR
Keshawn Martin WR
Marquis Maze WR
Lance Lewis WR
Patrick Edwards WR
Travis Benjamin WR
Robert Blanton CB
Winston Guy SS
Sammy Brown OLB
Cliff Harris CB
Dominique Hamilton DE
Kentrell Lockett DE
Rennie Moore OLB
David Snow OC
Miles Burris LB
Scott Solomon OLB
There is a bound to be a mistake or two littered through the mock. And you know BB definitely will not pick any of these players now.
27. Kendall Reyes DT UConn
31. Shea McClellin LB Boise St (actually think he would be drafted 1st and Reyes would be at 31 in the real draft. McClellin is the fastest riser in the draft going from a 5th rd pick to possibly a 1st rd pick)
48. Josh Robinson CB Central Florida (I have been on him since the combine - his speed made everyone go back and look at tape of him - especially against AJ Green)
63. Brandon Brooks OG/OT Miami (OH) (Best player not invited to the combine)
94. * Ron Brooks CB LSU (I expect this pick to be traded)
126. Brandon Hardin S Oregon St. (taking a big chance on a player with injury history)
* Expect the pick to be traded for two later picks like 113 and 158
113. Tom Compton OG/OT South Dakota
158. Devon Wylie WR Fresno St (Need WR that cam also be ST player - roster can only have one WR that doesn't play ST. Big battle between Stallworth and Ochocinco)
