Seriously dude...... Put down the bong....... 4 months before Cassel became a household name (and transformed himself into a franchise guy). Everyone on this board was screaming about how bad he sucked and how he should have been out right cut after preseason.
Mallet, where he was picked, is a great choice............. for several reasons.
1) he immediately puts pressure on Hoyer (who needs it).
2) He's immensely talented and has an opportunity to come in and possibly develop into Brady's replacement if (god forbid), his skills diminish quicker then any of us want to believe.
3) He can spend a few year developing here into a solid trade scenario that allows us capitalize on his draft day slide.
Sure, he could become the next KOC, but it's risk/reward. I'm willing to take a flyer on the guy with a third.
As for the "other areas of need" we missed out on..... Umm, obviously BB disagrees with your assessments.
