When I saw this thread title from you I said to myself "I bet the first trade he puts up has James Sanders in it". And, true to form, it did.

Seriously, when are you going to admit you are wrong about Sanders? It's not a hard thing to do. Just say, "Patsfans.com, I am wrong about James Sanders. He's an above average safety and a leader on the field. That's why Belichick likes him." Then move on.

Every year, you break out the same broken record about Sanders and every year numerous posters tell you that you don't know what you are talking about.

It's simple. Understand I want to keep Mankins and Merriweather. But Mankins will have his lip poked out if he is insulted with $10m in 2011. Merriweather will ask for top Safety money in 2012 and we all doubt that worth so perhaps Bill trades him a year early. Fitz will take an out of AZ for a playoff Team. His price will be costly and that is a caveat. Dockett and Wilson had down years so you might can get them now. Kolb wants to start but AZ won't give up a #5 pick in the Draft for him. Wells might eventually get healthy. The Cards need pieces. The Eagles just smile and collect the best things they can get for Kolb and Jackson. Jackson is starting to be a distraction and has pissed Reid off and it has been offered up on a Philly site about a trade that gets Philly their needed Guard in Mankins in a trade revolving Jackson. I can't take credit ...or blame... for that one.

If you have time to read it through great. If not thanks anyway. Just trying to use logic. The Ware deal was more fun (possible? who knows) but this could be very real.

My favorite sentence in this whole post is, "It's simple."

Everybody values Sanders in this forum and I don't. I watch what he does. I have very good reason and it blows me away why posters on this forum cover for him. But everyone of this site has their own personal favorites or JAGS and I respect that.

I will try to stress this again. We were 30th in pass yards against and most of those came up the middle. Pass rush is important, but not the cure-all. Smarter posters than I see Sanders as Ronnie Lott. He had a good year personally in 2010, but that did not translate to the Team. I do not believe I am wrong when I say he is replaceable.
This is utter BS on your part. No one covers for Sanders and we sure as hell don't act like he's the next coming of Ronnie Lott.

Where do you get that most of the pass yards against the Pats came "Up the middle"? Who exactly caught those? WRs? TEs? Were the Pats in MAN coverage or Zone? Do you even understand what Sanders responsibility is on the field? I don't believe you do.

So If I feel I see an upgrade over Sanders, I am certainly not emotionally tied to him as some are. Again some people feel he is special. I don't know if we could get a 5th rounder for him at best. Then I hear, "Well he is a BB favorite!" I have heard that from BB and the guy is gone the next day. TBC and Kaczur represent CAP dollars. Yet both could be CAP casualties here. Adding them to a deal if the said Team accepts, helps out the Pats. It's entertainment and I surely don't expect every aspect to be perfect, just the main story line to have at the least some reality. If posters say "no", I can't control that.

I appreciate you comments. You really have to dig into every part to see where I was going with this.

TBC and Kaczur account for about 8.5 million against the cap next year.. That's not alot. That being said, I agree they could both be cap casualties. But if we know that, so do other teams. They aren't going to trade for those players when they know they could get them for free.

i've got to stop opening these threads...

once again pats get pro bowl saftey, wr and DE plus a top 5 pick.

Give up reserve saftey, 2nd year wr, nickle cb and pick 17 and 28.

god damn

I figure TBC and Kaczur have some minimal trade value of a conditional 6th or a straight up 7th for some team that wants to insure that they get their overpriced vet instead of taking a chance on the free agent market, but that is about the max value for these guys.

Don't listen to the Haters, Brother Toy!! Rock ON with your bad self!!

DO keep listening to those who offer objective criticism, though.

Me, I have NO taste for the moves you propose...but I LOVE the wild imagination that you put into them!!

Question: Can you LINK a source for this?? >

Many Teams have inquired about young D Lineman Myron Pryor on the Pats.
I like Pryor, very much, but he probably doesn't make the Pats in my Mock, so I would love to get something for him.

Yep. O.K........ Here we go. You started this. Yes I was very excited about him in the play-off game against Cotchery. Please watch the film. Some say the INT did us in. Some say the dropped TD. I say when we get back in the game in the 3rd, a certain Safety is playing fifteen yards deep behind Cotchery letting Spikes of all people, try to chase him down (a WR!) might have been a Safety Faux Pas. I beg you watch the tape. That little blur with the #36 on his uniform about 15-20 yards in the distance was your buddy.

Secondly......Are you kidding???We were 30th in pass yards against and I will bet you will never guess where most of those yards were made.

I respect you decision to evaluate him because he is your binkie. I am going fact. He is worthy of an upgrade. He has a good year personally but in no way did that translate to the good of the pass defense for the rest of the Team as you can well see.

I know you have everyone else look up stuff for you. Do you want me to show you the stats of the 30th rated Defense in pass against yards in the entire NFL?

I guess if there are posters in this forum who can see Sanders for better than I, and you all have my respect as stated. Even if you could get a fifth rounder for a rotation Safety that makes almost $3m a year, I doubt if there is another Team in the NFL who would offer that. I am glad BB likes him. I say there can be an upgrade.

As far as trying to convince me Sanders is "above average".....you have got to be kidding....and I can back that up. Please let's agree to disagree. If you and all those posters you say who like Mr. Sanders game, that is your prerogative. Don't try to convince me that he is nothing more than he is or else I guess you'd be wrong then.

$3m is a lot to pay for a guy who has not stated the whole season even though healthy at his position the last two years.
