Why is this exciting? Because it means that Dareus could potentially be a possibility for us, especially since we have the ammunition to trade up if need be. Not saying BB would do it, but I am saying the more Dareus falls, the more tempting he becomes for BB.
What Dallas does at #9 could determine a lot about how the draft falls for us.

I just can't see Dallas passing on him. Combine Ware and Dareus and you have a nice combo for years to come.
Personally I was hoping if we were going to lose Mankins that we drop our 2 1st rd demands and just take the 9 pick from Dallas. They get a proven probowler and we take our chances with Dareus. We keep 17 28 and 33 and we are still able to fix the oline with 2 picks and have the luxury of grabbing best avialable whether it be RB WR, or defensive player, trade etc with the rest. That is quite a haul.
Another scenario since many think a "simple pro bowl guard like Mankins" is not worth giving up a 1st would be to swap 9 and 28 or 33. Myself, I think Mankins is way under valued.
There are other options in this draft though. It is deep with what the fans are looking for. But are the coaches? I wouldn't be suprised to se them go all out offense and pick up defensive players with the later picks. That would cause a stir around here..
