A little idea if you're looking for a broader set of clips on a prospect...
I recently stumbled onto a conversation on a fan board for another team where a poster was slamming Tyson Jackson, and as evidence he offered a highlight video of another player -- teammate Ricky-Jean Francois: YouTube - Ricky Jean Francois 08
You can follow #93 Jackson in every clip.
Maybe it's obvious and the rest of you already do this, but I'm starting to find a much better range of clips (for front-seven defenders and o-linemen, at least) by seeking out highlight videos of players' teammates rather than the players themselves.

I had not thought of this....and I think it's borderline genius.
I have never watched a youtube highlight clip, as I don't see the point. By definition, I'll see the prospects best plays of the year. Whoop-dee-damn-doo.
But now, I'm thinking differently.s
Another option, for example, if you wanted to evaluate Everette Brown, would be to watch Eugene Monroe's highlight reel, and see if he's matched up on Brown at some point.

Exactly...whereas watching the Francois clip you get a different assortment of plays. (Jackson is revealed to be a Ray Lewis-caliber pile-jumper in a couple of clips. )
I was just watching a lowlight video of the Alabama QB from a game where he was absolutely pummeled by the pass rush. But at a first (small, blurry) glance, I actually came away impressed by their center Caldwell.
He's overrated, plays against lower level competition,
Nice find pc.

I cant remeber who it was, might have M.Johnson destroyed Monroe and Monroe is from my hometown but even I have to admit he got BEAT!

Ugh by watching that Jackson seems slow on his feet and likes to pounce on piles at the end of plays. He stands up lineman at the point of attack though.(sorry had to remove the link cause i dont have 50 posts.)
I realize members of this board either love or hate Clay Matthews, and this probably won't do much to sway either camp, but #47 shows up an awful lot of Fili Moala's 2008 highlights: YouTube - DT Fili Moala Highlights USC 2008

Thanks, I was just keying on #47 in this Cushing video: YouTube - LB Brian Cushing Highlights USC 2008
Matthews doesn't impress, but it's a weird "highlights" compilation even for Cushing -- several plays involve him bringing down a ball carrier after the play goes for a solid gain.

That's the thing about watching the USC defense, they were #1, but when you start keying on individual play you're left scratching your head and wondering just how bad the offenses in the Pac 10 really were?
