Thumbs up Congratulations to Tom Brady for breaking Montana's record for the most playoffs wins

Now go win another 17 PO games ..........

Tom Brady idolized Joe Montana as a kid in the Bay Area. Now, he’s surpassed his hero for post-season wins.

Brady got his 17th, the most for any quarterback, in New England’s 41-28 AFC divisional victory over Houston on Sunday. If Brady can lead the Patriots past Baltimore in next weekend’s conference title game, then win the Super Bowl, he’ll equal the 49ers’ Hall of Famer for NFL championships.

Brady has guided the Patriots to five Super Bowls, winning the first three; Montana was 4 for 4 in the big game, playing for Brady’s hometown team.

“I grew up a 49ers fans,” Brady said. “Joe Montana and Steve Young … those guys are in another class.”

40 post-season TDs, as well. Savor.

Was it my imagination or did Brady's 40th TD get a fraction of the attention Manning's 30th got last night? #dierdorf

Belichicks reaction to Vereen's TD catch is what I imagine how the media reacts when Brady breaks records

The media has spent more time making excuses for Manning than recognizing that a golden NFL record has fallen.

Wait till Brady breaks the playoff passing td record and win the Superbowl. Then he might get a 'little' media attention. :P

Until then, he's just a 'system qb' according to the mediots.

Right now Colin Kaepernick is the QB garnering the most media attention cos Peyton Manning pulled well, a Peyton Manning.

And just to be fair, this is still a 'team accomplishment' but Brady is by far one of the best field generals of all time, and certainly the best QB that I've seen with my own eyes.

No. No. You clearly didn't get the memo.

According to a Press Release from ESPN and the League office, Brady's record isn't recognized because he got some of his wins on even numbered days and some on odd numbered days. Brady's Playoff wins only count if he gets them on even numbered days....but that, of course, switches to odd numbered days if he gets too many of the even number kind.

The Press Release went on to say that Peyton Manning's nine Playoff W's actually count as 18 because Papa John's is giving away twice as many free Pizzas this year as it did last year.

So, another record for Peyton! Ain't it great?

Brady advances to his 7th AFCCG in 10 playoff appearances.

Manning heads home before the AFCCG for the 9th time in 12 playoff appearances.
