Every year it flies by so fast, and whatever happens in the next few weeks, the NFL season will be over in about a month. Such a bummer. No other sport compares.

It's always a little sad. I start getting anxious about it a bit around Week 10. If everything ends the way I'd like to see it, I can live with a long offseason. But, yeah, it's always tough to say goodbye to football. I'd watch hockey, but **** bettman...

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Indeed. The lean times approacheth, and I hate that time between the SB and the draft. It means I have to start doing actual research and writing again, rather than spend my time surfing football sites and hanging around PatsFans.

As a spoiled Pats fan, I just need 1 more SUPER BOWL VICTORY...getting through the off-season will be much easier if we take home the Lombrady trophy this year...that's what I asked for for Christmas! I don't think I can deal with another painful loss in the playoffs

I don't understand why the UFL didn't play in the NFL offseason.

Would totally watch

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.

But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.

I really don't understand why everytime the best part of the whole season comes up (the playoffs) people start looking AHEAD to the season being over and getting sad about.

How about just enjoying the next month? You waited all year to get to this part

Also, this is why the NFL is great. It leaves you wanting more.

Football season is coming to an end. And it always flys by. There aren't 10 games on every weekend anymore. Always loved that. now only a few and if pats exit in 2nd round...we only have 3 weeks left of patriots football ect
