I'm looking at the Niners roster, and this team is stacked with talent up and down the roster which got me thinking about a few hypotheticals.
Remove the QB position from the equation....which roster would you prefer? I'm leaning SF because of the combo of a complete defense and the fully tooled offense.
If Tom Brady was the San Fran QB......Would this team ever lose? Would this team be more dominating than the 2004 Pats? (I favor the '04 Pats over the '07 team because of the D and balanced O) Would this team be in the discussion as a one of the GOAT?
Hey....it's a Thursday
PS...And I have to add....What was Peyton Manning thinking? Sure, avoid the NFC to avoid brotherly contact....but if your handed the keys to a _______ (fill in the blank [ I'm going with Rolls Royce]), you grab those keys and don't look back

Even if you take away Brady, I dont think SF is more talented than the current New England Patriots.

Allow me to take Brady and Belichick, switch them with the other QB and head coach, and have time to prepare.
That scenario reminds me about what Bum Phillips said about legendary Alabama coach Bear Bryant:
He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n
In this case, and dropping the southern accent
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady will take their guys and beat your guys, and then if they wanted to, they'd switch up coach & QB, then take your guys and beat their guys.
But the first scenario would be easier, because we do have some talent that matches Tom's and Bill's approach a lot better.

Completely disagree. Their defense is better across the board, their offensive line is better, they have a better feature back and their receiving options are pretty good. Sure, they don't have Gronk or Welker, but Davis, Crabtree, Manningham, Moss is a very nice group.
Brady makes all the difference. Exchange quarterbacks and the 49ers would probably be 12-1/11-2 and the Patriots something like 6-7.
I'm thinking they'd probably be over the salary cap .
Realistically, taking the best QB in the league, putting it on a good to manageable offense with the best defense in the league. What do you expect, it would get better.
I bet Tom loves his team and wouldn't switch out even if given the chance.

I disagree
O Line is basically a wash...we have three elite blockers on it. Come on.
Gore is better than Ridley? No way...would the Pats trade Ridley straight up for Gore? NEVER. I'd argue that Bolden/Woody/Vereen are better than Hunter/James. Their pass catchers are at best 70% of NE's pass catchers if Gronk is healthy. As you state they don't have Welker or Gronk but they also don't have Hernandez.
I respect the Niners but this is silly.

ha ha to funny...
"sure they dont have gronk or welker.....sure they dont have the best TE in the NFL and one of the best WR in the nfl..but thats no big deal, sure."

“That’s a hypothetical. We don’t answer hypotheticals on the Patriots,” Brady said, when asked who would get his MVP vote if he had one. “Coach Belichick would stand up here and say, ‘You moron, why would you answer a hypothetical question like that?’ And I sit right there [motioning toward a front-row seat] and he doesn’t have to look very far.”

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.
