Default Belichick Comments On Player Bans

I thought what I bolded out was a very interesting take BB had on the bans.

Quote:
“Unfortunately, sometimes on these things, people make mistakes,” Belichick said on a conference call with reporters. “Everybody is accountable for them. I think those situations are unfortunate. Neither one of them had to happen. They weren't that important, but they were violations, so they are what they are."
Seems like BB doesn't share the same view with the league on the substances that JC and BB got nailed with...

I know the league doesn't release their findings, which is why so many players are claiming Adderall, but are teams made aware? Does Belichick know what Bolden and Cunningham got dinged for?

Yes he does, according to Reiss in today's mailbag- results go to the player and to the team, but only the player is free to provide any details.

Even if he's lying?

I know that much - the league will not say anything if a player is lying. My understanding is that this is because it serves no benefit to the league and could only open them up to legal issues.

Confidentiality is the key and as it is essentially a medical procedure this increases exponentially..

You will never know unless he choose to tell about it..

It sounds to me like BB is chastising the player more than the league. I would interpret his words as, "What these players were caught for wasn't going to help them that much. They didn't need to risk a suspension for so little benefit." That kind of thing.
, and like this.

Some good guesses here but I find it interesting that you can be suspended if you don't have a therapeutic use exemption even if you have a prescription.
