That's pretty amazing. Remember when the Pats were 3-3 and people were fretting? Then, just like that (well, it took a six-game winning streak, but it feels like it happened very quickly), the Pats can clinch the division.

BB knows what time it is. Our boys will be jacked up to take the division next week, and a playoff berth, and like the billionth time he has been here that we win the division. He knows. He will bring it. And since we are working with a long week off, I would not want to be the Dolphins next week.

The difference is that Brady calmly calls audibles while Manning flaps like a chicken, barks 11 code words, and makes sure every camera in the stadium has documented his once-in-a-generation (and patented, I believe) ability to see a defensive formation and change the play. Both have the same effect, but Manning transcends measurable human intellect while Brady merely chooses a different play.

It's kind of cool to root for a team where double-digit winning streaks are commonplace... sure, when you're 3-3 you say "Hmmm maybe a six-game winning streak will get us where we want to be," and not be quite so sure about it all...

But in retrospect, a Pats fan gets to say, "meh, six game winning streak... that's pretty much the minimum for a Pats team... call me when it hits 20."

Within the next 15 days the Pats actually could be in line for the #1 seed and HFA if the following happens and all seem possible......

Next week ...The Pats beat the Dolphins
The Ravens lose to the Steelers
The Texans get upset at Tennessee (Titans are playing better now)

The Following week ....

The Ravens lose to RGIII and the Redskins at FedEx Field
The Pats beat the Texans on MNF

If all those happen, the Pats control their own destiny for HFA

Roethlisberger will return for the Ravens game and its rare when either team sweeps the other so I give Pittsburgh a solid shot to keep their playoff hopes alive and win at Baltimore who is due for a home loss.....the Ravens also struggle on the road and the following week are playing against a hot rookie QB and a team with playoff hopes playing at home, that game won't be easy

The Titans beating the Texans is a longshot but Locker has played very well since returning and since Reed is now injured for Houston,it could mean a big day for CJ2K

By my calculations (based on basic tiebreakers). The following can happen Sunday

Patriots clinch AFC East with win
Houston clinches playoff spot with a win or New England win
Ravens clinch AFC North with a win
Broncos clinch AFC West with a win
Falcons clinch NFC South with a win and a TB loss
49ers clinch NFC West with a win and a Sea loss

I believe a Houston win and a Colts loss also clinches the title for the Texans as they can't do worse than 11-5 and the Colts would have 11-5 at best but lose on division wins.

AFC West is worse.

Not to mention the AFC East is 3-0 against that division.

No. Colts and Texans have 2 games left to play each other. Thus if they finish 11-5 each Colts would have the H2H tiebreaker

But I did forget to add Ravens clinch AFC North with a win and a Cincy loss.
