Why such a negatively slanted headline? Pats have been averaging over 45 points per game over their last 4 games. LOL

Red Sox hangover?

They might not break it, but they've got a reasonable chance. And it's not like Houston's been playing lights out defense of late.

This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Plenty of film on Houston's D and same with San Fran.

BB will figure out what has to be done to score points on them. Pats have too many weapons even with Gronk out.

How fast will Pats D come together is the bigger question. So far so good with Talib and Dennard. Upside potential is still there for them and the other pieces of the D. Have to get the injured starters to 100% and keep everyone else healthy.

The last two weeks Houston gave up 37 points to Jacksonville and 31 points to Detroit. San Francisco, hey we'll see. They haven't given up more than 26 all season, but they also haven't played our offense. It's definitely possible.

Crazy article. If the Packers can put up 42 points against the Texans, and last two games the Jags put up 37 against them and the Lions put up 31 against them how can you say the Patriots can't put up that many or more against them?

As for the 49'ers, Vikings and Rams put up 24 on them and the Giants put up 26 against them. The Patriots look to be in high gear, what makes you think the Pats can't score at least that against them?

(shakes head at sports writers). Sounds like the author of the article is a Debbie Downer type.

Of all the records I want the Pats to break, this is pretty much at the bottom of the list. All that matter are wins. I want to beat the Texans and Niner. And if we manage to do that, it will be most likely that we put put 30+ against them. The other thing I'd love to see is a healthy OL to play against them.

To that end, I'm fine with having Cannon start against Miami. It will be good to see how he fares against an elite pass rusher like Wake. If he does a good job it will help with the Pats negotiating position with Volmer.....as well as give him some valuable experience. Meanwhile we'd be more likely to have a healthy Volmer for the stretch drive.
