Arrow A little perspective

I think we should take the lesson we are seeing in the first Thanksgiving Day game. Can you image the hand wringing if the Patriots pass defense had allowed over 240 yds and 21 points in just one HALF. Well folks its NOT the Pats D, but the vaunted Texan D who is the victim..... AGAIN.

Listen it is HARD to defend today's passing game....anyone's passing game. Even a team who is currently "just" 4-6. Interesting that the mediots are trying to explain the defensive lapse on the fact that the Texans don't have their starting CB today. But no one ever gave the Pats any excuses for missing BOTH their safeties and losing Dowling during the last Jets game game.

I'm not saying that this justifies the failings of our defense but just pointing out that even the so call "good" defenses can get ripped to shreds, and we shouldn't beat our breasts like mourners whenever someone completes a pass, and act like we are the only fans who have to endure this kind of pain. Look around. Its happening a lot these days

Texans and 49ers have a had a few big hiccups this year but people just seem to write it off. I'm more than confident pats will beat both.

As I noted earlier today on another thread, the Texans vaunted defense didn't do particularly well earlier this year against Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers shredded them for 6 TDs and 42 points. Based on those games and their performance so far against Detroit, I'd say the Pats offense should be able to move the ball fairly well when the Texans come to town.

Didn't both Ponder and Bradford do well against them?

Didn't the FREAKING JAGS put a Thirty Burger on that D last weekend - - in their OWN house?????

It's worse than that. One would normally laugh hard that it was against a Blaine Gabbert led team - - but Gabbert got hurt early - - the guy who did it was the legend who LOST OUT to Gabbert in TC!!!!!!

For the most part pretty much true of almost every qb. Even Brady has a hard time doing much if he gets sacked a million times.

Rodgers shredded them, but Peyton Manning looked like **** through 3 quarters against Houston. I watched that game, and at least 5 of his passes were dropped by Texans defenders, and he also had his most incompletions in a game, ever. He got a few TD drives when the game was out of reach to make his numbers look pretty, but the Broncos couldn't get ANYTHING going on offense when the game was in doubt.
